Move from : Captain Cook,HI To : Phoenix,AZ
The crew from United Express made a huge difference in my moving experience. They were professional and quick, yet extremely careful with my belongings. They also checked in frequently to make sure I was satisfied with their placement of boxes. Highly recommend for anyone who values quality service!

Take the negative reviews seriously, or you will be surprised like me. Avoid this company, but if for any reason you had to work with them, consider this:1- The price will significantly increase compared to their initial estimation. A couple of days before the pick up, you will receive a call for checking your items once again. The price change is understandable at this stage, because you'll be more accurate this time about the amount of items. But there will be another significant increase when pick up workers arrive. They will start nagging and giving you excuses like, your items are bigger than what they expected, and/or the distance between their truck and your door step is too much, etc. They offered me a discount if I payed a part (not all) of the increase in cash. Later, when signing the papers, I realized they took the cash (300$) as tip.2- There will be a long delay in delivery. My experience was 25 days delay from the expected delivery date. They have 30 business days (about 40 days) to delay and they call it "legal", which you have already signed in those document they sent you. So there's nothing you can do.3- Their tone will change after your second payment, which is the pick up date. This is the date of no turning back. When I called them about the delay in delivery, they spoke to me in a tone like it was my fault, or why do you bother us by calling. They didn't even know where my items were (or maybe new it but didn't want to give the info).

Move from : Kiowa,CO To : Prudence Island,RI
I’m a widowed single mom on one income who rented a UHaul trailer to move from CO to RI and realized the day of the move, my items wouldn’t all fit in the trailer. I wasn’t bringing any furniture and there was only a tiny amount of stuff, but they were essentials. In a panic, I looked for same-day last minute movers. The following unfolded:I was sold something that was a huge misrepresentation by United Express, who called me after I started Google searching. They never told me they were brokers. The rep kept talking about "their drivers."Andrew specifically verbalized things to me that were apparently not in the contract I ended up signing. The only reason I signed with them is because they told me my items would be at my house, "500 miles a day, four days." I knew it would take me four days to drive my trailer from CO to RI, so this was perfect. I have not used movers before, so I am naive to the expectation. Additionally, I was told they had to charge me for the amount of a "studio apartment," as it is the "minimum they can charge,” even though I only had about 15 medium boxes and one sofa table. So, I agreed to $1,500 for that.Being that I am an honorable person who has owned a small business and never misrepresented my own business, I breezed over the contract they sent and signed it in a panic, so I could get same-day service and specifically so my stuff could get to my new home when I did. It included all of my bathroom toiletries and most of my kids’ clothes, as these were the last items packed, since we were using them until our move. That was foolish of me.Since they are brokers, when the actual moving company showed up to move my stuff, it turned out to be even more expensive than the amount I agreed to, and which as a single mom, I was already struggling with. The contract from United Express was written in a small amount of cubic feet and then says, in parentheses next to cubic feet, 2002 lbs of stuff. Apparently, my 15 boxes and sofa table (which is about three feet long and 8 inches wide), was over the cubic feet, so I ended up paying an additional $400 to the actual moving company. It’s been a week and my stuff is arriving today, not in the four days. I feel blessed it’s even getting here this fast, because apparently four days WAS A LIE and movers can take up to 21 days for a 2,000 mi trip like we made.I called United Express yesterday and spoke to Elisa G, because I am disgusted with their business and I want the $600 they charged me to apparently just lie to me and call another moving company, back. I told her I feel scammed. She told me I was over my cubic feet and I won’t be getting my money back, since I signed the contract. I mentioned the 2,002 lbs in parentheses and she said the weight means nothing.I told her what Andrew represented to me and she told me I was lying and a rep would never make those kinds of promises. When I said I would have one of the many attorneys I know pull records, since all calls are recorded, I was told, "Well actually, verbal contracts don't count."So, yeah. Don’t use this company. I’m debating how much of a pain I want to be to get my $600 back. I’m sure it will cost me more in the long run to push for it, but I’m so upset, kinda feels worth it.
