Read More I moved from San Jose to Austin recently, and Value Added Moving completely exceeded my expectations. From the initial quote to the final box being placed in my new apartment, their process was clear, structured, and stress-free. The movers showed up on time and worked with amazing coordination. Everything was labeled, wrapped, and loaded efficiently, and I especially appreciated their attitude — respectful, calm, and focused the whole time. What really impressed me was the communication. I got updates during transit and even a courtesy call to confirm my preferred delivery window. My furniture arrived without a scratch. Highly recommend for long-distance moves!

Read More Value added movers was not my first choice. I went with them because I felt the other movers were not being forthcoming. I found the company on google and called and spoke with Derek Johnson.I informed Mr. Johnson that I needed to move my stuff from New York to Cincinnati, Ohio. He stated it could be done. I informed him that I did not have any furniture just clothes and miscellaneous items. He asked how many boxes I had I informed him I had 4 boxes and was also using canvas bags. He did not once doing our initial conversation inform me I was not able to use canvas bags. The canvas bags even appeared on the BOL. So on 7/21 the movers came the first thing the foreman told me was I had to have everything in boxes, I told him I informed Derek Johnson I was using canvas bags and it was also on the BOL. Foreman told me they could transport my items, mind you I had already paid a deposit of $798 already. Foreman told me they had moving boxes $40 a piece and I would needed 3 of them . Tried to call Derek Johnson he did not answer his phone. I called customer service and spoke with dispatcher letting them know I wasn’t aware of the boxes being needed. I also explained the BOL stated I had canvas bags. I had to pay an additional $120 for the 3 boxes due to the fact I needed my stuff moved. I spoke with Justin Watson and told him that Derek Johnson never said anything about needing boxes, Justin spoke to upper management and I was able to get $60 credit towards my final balance. 2 weeks later before I received my items. Derek Johnson also told me that I would have my stuff that same weekend which didn’t not happen. 8/2 my items came to my storage unit . The foreman which was a different one tried to charge me extra because he said my storage bin was far which it wasn’t. I told the foreman I will not be paying anything extra. He stated well I will unload your stuff and leave it in front of the storage unit entry door and I told him that’s fine. Then upon paying my balance he tried to make me pay the full balance and I told him I have a $60 credit , the foreman didn’t believe me until the driver came in and said yes regarding the credit. They went to get my stuff out the truck and the driver made the foreman take my stuff to my storage unit. The driver said it was a busy day and they had 7 deliveries before me and I told the driver I paid my money just like everyone else. This was an horrible experience and would not recommend this company Everyone says something different within the company,
