Read More Not a good experience. While the packing crew did a good job on many items, they only wrapped an expensive crystal chandelier in a blanket and as a result it was destroyed. No mention was ever made about them needing to confirm approval to ship after the items were picked up. When asked about status, they said items were still in the warehouse because they couldn't reach us to confirm shipment. Why would we contract with them if we didn't want to ship??? They also incorrectly stated they tried to contract me, and my phone logs prove that never happened. On delivery they wanted a signature stating all items were received in good condition but wouldn't open the truck or allow us to see that was the case before they received payment! How could we say everything was good before being allowed to take a look?? The contract specified an additional charge for flights of stairs and the team lead who picked up the items confirmed there would be no charge if an elevator was available. Mr. Duffek insisted there was a charge regardless, saying the contract shows that. He's wrong as there is no mention of a charge for use of an elevator, only for carrying up stairs. Charging $75 per floor whether an elevator or stairs are used is ridiculous. If you live in an apartment with an elevator and there is more than one flight of 7 stairs, be aware you will be told to pay $75 per floor. This is clearly not a legally supportable position and be aware that if you live in an upper-level apartment, you'll be told after you sign the contract and they pick up your goods, you will owe hundreds of dollars more than what you thought when you signed the contract.

They were incredibly pleasant and accommodating, positioning their staff wherever needed to ensure a seamless move. Their hard work and courtesy ensured that nothing was damaged.

With services of such high-caliber, I was a bit concerned that the price would be out of reach for me. However, I immediately hired their movers once I found out it was otherwise. Truly a worthy experience!

Read More I read the reviews and thought I had picked a good company. What a disaster! Andrew lied to me about them employing their own men and trucks. I was supposed to get my stuff on Tuesday. Got it Sunday. I had a check ready. Would only take cash or mail order. Told me to leave the mail order blank. ?? Broke a chair, damaged a bed, ripped mattress covers, reclining chair won't close, didn't put bed or dresser together. Continually jacked up the bill. Deliverers asked for "a couple of hundred extra." Knocked down and drove over my UPS box when they left. Left cardboard and bunches of tape all over my driveway. And to make matters worse, there was bird [EDIT] all over my boxes. I'd been better off going with Bekis. He came to the house and did an estimate. Beki's estimate was more at the beginning, but I paid more than that to this company at the end. I regret ever using them.

You would be better off getting a U-Haul and doing it yourself. *Note: My name was not listed on the bill of lading, because my boyfriend was the lead contact. However my phone number was listed as a contact and I have personally spoken with each listed employee above numerous times.

Read More They called to say they were arriving. Then I was waiting for them to contact me as they started filming my move. (I was out-of-state and not able to be there in person.) The next time they contacted me was when they sent me a photo of the empty storage unit after they were gone! I was Livid because I assured by the sales person Michael that there would be a VIDEO of the move, which Never happened! It was a key feature he used to get me to have confidence to book with them. My inventory was never properly or accurately logged. They did not write anything on the inventory list instead they sent a paper with a line drawn down for the inventory.( Throw and go). When my furniture was delivered several things were MISSING, BROKEN, CRUSHED or completely DESTROYED! The two main reasons I decided to book Direct Relocate They assured me they were not a broker There would be VIDEO taken during my items being moved! This did NOT happen. What actually took place :asked on the same tractor trailer with no clear or secure separation of belongings. This seems to be why and how furniture gets mixed up and ends up at the WRONG DESTINATION. Only after this horrific experience did I a friend find their Google reviews. Completely different from the reviews on their website! Other customers also complaining about missing furniture and receiving furniture that didn’t belong to them. I’m still missing my kitchen bar stool, I found only 1 of 2. The delivery driver had the NERVE to harass me for a tip after seeing how extremely upset I was over having my furniture arrived damaged, destroyed and some missing. Unacceptable! Buyer BEWARE. If any other victim of Direct Relocate is reading this and ended up with furniture that didn’t belong please reach out. I’m still missing my kitchen bar stool among other things.

However when I needed to cancel my move getting my deposit back was a very bad experience. They said 10-14 days. It’s been 23 day/17 business days and I still haven’t received it. They told me there is a cue. Feels like a Ponzi scheme where they only refund when they get a new account. To be clear they didn’t provide any service. This was a deposit.

Read More I hired them on May 31st. I told the Rep, Joy that I needed everything delivered on the 15th of July. Joy said that they need to pick it up by the 10th to have it there by the 15th. The 10th came and no call. I called them and they said they will call 48 hours out. The 11th came ,I called again. They again said they will call 48 hours out since it a 2 day travel to Connecticut. The 13th came and no call. I called again and got Diego the owner, He said that they could not guaranty a 15th delivery and that If I want it on the 15th to cancel and get a U Haul. Diego cancelled it and said I would see my deposit in 7 business days. I call 10 days later and no many returned. I spoke with Taylor and she said I would have the money by Thursday. No money on Thursday or Friday. No I'm dealing with Andrew and he said they are having a problem on August 4th making the refund happened. Well today is the 7th of August still no refund .Andrew is saying hopefully the money will be returned by the end of the week. These actions speak for themselves. I have also sent emails to Diego the owner and he does not return emails. Lets see if I get the deposit money back by Friday August 11th which is 4 weeks later.
