It has been extremely stressful from pick up day until now. They have ONE job, which is to give a price based on everything I have provided them with (including photos and videos), even then, during pick up they proceed to ask for more money. when i call the company to speak to the gentlemen who sold me the service, he is conveniently not available and i have to then speak to someone else who was never involved before. meanwhile, when the sales pitch was being done and the estimate was completed, on the phone I was specifically told that they were also still leaving room for anything else I might add (clearly that was not true as I was still charged a great amount). Again, they have ONE JOB, and it obviously is not done correctly and transparently as I have noted above.
Secondly, very misleading sales pitch, I was very clear with them about my needs during this move which they positively proceeded to say it would all be handled accordingly and not to worry. My main concern was the delivery date and i was told it wouldn’t be a problem as they actually said there was another load going to Aventura, FL, which would make the move easy and timely for me. That’s not the case now. They also never mentioned that my load would be worked on only after my FAD, and not from pick up date. if that was the case, I would’ve told them I was available before. This was not clear at all to me, specially since, again, they were very careful and assertive to say there wouldn’t be a problem with my delivery date as they had another load going the same way. I trusted their word but they don't care at all! the customer service attitude of whoever answers the phone is just nasty and rude, the lady wont even let you finish talking about your concern and will start yelling at you like its not her problem and you just have to accept it is what it is....
And it is crazy to me, How is it that they only start working from FAD? If it’s first available date it means I am ready and you guys should be too! It shouldn’t mean, you just then start working on my things. From PA to FL it takes time, so they had already plenty of time and chose not to do anything about it and just hold your things in a warehouse which they didn't even know where it was... the lady had to confirm because she had no idea.... I asked for pictures and they refuse... so who knows where it is or what's happened to it. Mind you, during the whole scamming sales pitch I asked if they could deliver during a certain date, the guy said they cant guarantee the date but said the time frame for PA to FL is 3-7 days.... its now 13 days and still no news of when the truck will even leave with my things.
This has been the most stressful process I have and am experiencing, this has been extremely disappointing, misleading and no transparency at all from their side. Customer service is the most important part of a business and they have zero consideration for their customers, the only consideration shown is when they give the sales pitch and make it seem like it’s all perfect, once they receive the down payment and pick up the load it’s all down hill and the true colors start showing.
I moved from China to the US and had zero stress, what was said was actually done. I am baffled at how moving from one state to another within the US is causing so much of a headache.
Lastly, Presidential Van Lines says they are not brokers or sub-contractors, that's also a lie! They use a third party company to load the truck from U-Haul and work under a company Moving Ops who has been contracted as the booking agent for PRESIDENTIAL VAN LINES. Everything is very confusing and there is no transparency AT ALL!!!
DO NOT use presidential van lines, just do it yourself if you can and hire loading/unloading helpers only!!!
