TOTAL DECEPTION- UNETHICAL - UNPROFESSIONAL- PRACTICES and LIARS! Given a “Binding estimate” after sending images of our items that we have already packed and in 2 storage units with dimensions of width depth and height! Jaxon, the rep, took my photos to his “supervisor” to make sure the “binding estimate” would be accurate and that unless I added anything other than my photos- I could rest assured there would be NO additional charges ( proof through text thread that company has!)Paid my deposit and then had a hard time getting anyone to call me right up to 3 days before move was supposed to take place. Finally Gary ( manages coordination) called and started talking about extra fees etc! Come to find out I was only quoted for 1000 cubit feet of space (10x10x10) even though I sent images WITH all the sizes of two storage units ( one that was 10x15 and one that was 10x10!!!!))with everything already stored in them! I was duped and deceived!!! I was only quoted for HALF of my load! Gary stated clearly that the quote did NOT cover what I had and so I would pay additional charges. I sent all images and read text thread to him. After realizing I had been lied to and misled - I told him he owed me my deposit back because clearly (as Gary could see and acknowledged) nothing added up! Still- he would not refund my deposit and they kept my 3400.00!!!! With all the absolute proof of incompetence and deception- they STILL would not return my money and in no way was I going to continue with them with no way of knowing what the actual charges would look like and because of the way I was treated! THESE PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO OPERATE ! Beware! I pray this doesn’t happen to others!

My experience with this moving company was nothing short of a nightmare, revealing a blatant scam and utter incompetence. From the outset, they demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism and respect for their clients. They arrived nearly four hours late without any prior notice or updates, showcasing their disregard for punctuality and customer time. This delay was just the beginning of a series of failures that exposed their true nature as a low-rate, untrustworthy broker rather than a legitimate moving service. The site foreman, Sean, sat in his car for hours without any effort to manage the move or communicate with the clients, while the contracted packers lacked basic tools, had limited boxes, and ran out of wrapping paper within just two hours. This level of disorganization and poor planning caused significant frustration among the workers, with some even threatening to abandon the job altogether. Such behavior underscores their inability to handle a professional move and their blatant neglect of customer needs. When contacted, the company's representative, Gary, who claimed to be the Director of Quality Assurance, offered empty promises of improvement that never materialized. The conflicting information about the storage location of belongings—one from the foreman and another from the main office—further demonstrated their dishonesty and lack of coordination. It became evident that this company was a scam, preying on unsuspecting customers with false assurances and substandard service. The truck provided was equally inadequate, equipped with only two straps and no support bars or bunking capabilities, risking damage to belongings and safety. Such negligence should warrant investigation by the FMCSA, as their practices clearly violate safety standards. I do plan to file a formal complaint at protectmymove.gov, urging others to do the same. This company’s customer service is a facade designed to deceive and lure victims into their trap. Representatives like James Listen and Sandra are part of this scam, offering false promises to keep victims engaged until the inevitable disappointment. The entire operation is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, preying on vulnerable customers and exploiting their trust. In conclusion, this experience highlights the importance of thorough research and skepticism when dealing with moving companies. Falling for their scam resulted in a complete loss of trust, financial waste, and emotional distress. Customers must be vigilant, read reviews, and avoid companies like Midland Van Lines at all costs. Their deceptive practices and lack of accountability make them unfit to operate within the industry, and they should be shut down to prevent further victimization.

After everything was unloaded, I found a random wet spot on my loveseat. No clue what it was. It took me days to get rid of the smell, and they never owned up to causing it.
