Worst Joke Ever.

As others have stated the initial call and set up is great, but there is a SIGNIFICANT amount of small print around pricing which is built in such a way that you will end up paying a lot more then anticipated. The customer service that comes after that initial call is also very poor.Upon delivery the driver had already prefilled the extra costs he planned to add on before he even got out of the truck. When i said no and pushed it ended up being a negotiation. It made it clear that the staff must get commission on what extras they can tag on to the customer.- They repacked boxes I had, which lead to 'needing' more boxes i had to pay for- I had 14 stairs and because you had to step off the 14th that was extra cost- There was only 9 boxes they moved for me, and at delivery they sent a semi trailer (huge one) and if it did not fit in the driveway they wanted to charged more.- There were more than 75 steps once from the entrance to where i asked them to put these 9 boxes, that was extra- I gave them 2 weeks notice for delivery, and 2 days before on the Saturday they send me a message that they can not deliver and will need another 2 weeks. Then they could not give a day, but a range of days. So they expected me to just wait for them. After much arguing i got a range of 2 days and only the day before did they confirm.In short do not bother -

Terrible communication on important matters

Beware ! these guys are sneaky ! We had an untruthful foreman who charged us extra to move 3 miles from one places to another - disappeared for 45 minutes with our stuff and then was drinking on the job. We complained to the company as he did not explain the paperwork we were signing was for additional charges. Customer service was no help at all - even though they admitted we were wrongfully charged for 2 additional hours of labor as well as credit card processing charges, they would not help on the wrong charges for additional boxes. I counted every box they used and they used 30 boxes less than quoted yet charged us $500 extra !!!! how insane is that ?!?!? over $4k to move us 3 miles !!! Shop somewhere else - do not make the mistake we made.**edit - and now the president of the company is claiming I was not a customer - cute.... I have credit card charges, phone call records and emails from your customer service team which proves otherwise. Proof can easily be provided-

Beware Unprofessional Company

An absolutely abhorrent experience. While the staff can be polite on the phone, they don’t follow through and take zero responsibility for things clearly their fault. Some movers were hardworking; others were unprofessional and lazy.I repeatedly asked for contact info for ownership to escalate, and they refused. Day-to-day staff is apathetic and doesn’t problem solve. If the owners see this, your staff is hiding things from you and you owe me a conversation.Let’s get into the details.It took 34 days from when I gave my LA address to actually receive my stuff from Miami. They lost my dresser and showed up with a random table that wasn’t mine. Communication was awful—I had to call and text over and over because no one ever knew when delivery would happen. They’ll use text to reach you when they need something, but ignore you when you need help.One week before delivery, I called for the millionth time—only to hear, “Oh wow, your stuff hasn’t been delivered yet?” They were totally unaware. I was finally told it would come Friday or Saturday. I reminded them repeatedly I needed a delivery date to get city permits to block off parking for the truck. They said the driver would call. He didn’t call until two days before, so I couldn’t get permits. He showed up Friday, blocked cars in the street, and had zero urgency to fix the situation.Then Saturday morning, I get a text: the driver lost his wallet and couldn’t pay for the smaller “shuttle” truck. As if he’s the only one at the company with a credit card? Where was the company? It was shady. I called S&S and was told dispatch would handle it—but no one followed up. I texted the driver and got: “I can’t do [expletive] until tomorrow sorry.”Texted S&S again—nothing. Called—no answer. Left a furious voicemail—no response. They showed up Sunday at 4:30 PM after saying 1 PM. A full day late with zero communication or apology. If I treated my clients this way, I’d be fired.The driver looked visibly ill—he had to rest in the car breathing heavily. Apparently, he had been in the ER, which delayed my shipment. S&S made no effort to find a replacement. Completely negligent and heartless.Also, I was quoted ~$300 for the shuttle, then charged $600 with no explanation. Just another example of them not honoring their word.Other issues: In Miami, it took them 6 hours to load my small 1BR storage unit. One mover was on his phone most of the time while the other did all the work. The facility manager said she’d never seen a crew so slow and almost kicked them out.I also had to pay hundreds in extra storage fees. They offer 14 days free, and I gave my address within that time—but they didn’t have enough outbound volume to move to LA sooner. I had to eat the cost of their business limitations.I work in client service and would be ashamed to operate this way. But in moving, they hold your stuff hostage. You’re stuck and they know it.DO NOT hire this company. They are not professionals. You will regret it.
