Read More I recently had all the flooring in my house replaced due to a defective product. I needed a place to move all my extraneous small furniture and "stuff" during the process. I called Pack-Rat and Cressen got me all set up with a storage pod. They delivered it on short notice, placed it close to my garage door as requested. When I was done they came and removed it with only a few days notice. The customer service and contact was outstanding and the delivery and pick-up drivers were polite, and friendly. The price was very reasonable for the convenience of having the storage pod right at my door step. The experience with Pack-Rat helped ease some of the anxiety of having my entire house in disrepair. Thank you all for your response and help!

I called customer service, and it was an hour and a half wait. Once I spoke with someone they resolved my issue. That was really the only downside. In general, I would recommend.

Read More My experience with 1800PackRat was great. Pricing, scheduling and rescheduling were always done right and there were no delays. They matched their competidor and lowered they rate further as an added incentive. My container arrived earlier than promised and they anticipated delivery since it had arrived earlier at no extra cost. I am not giving them a 5 star because the wait time to talk to them on phone is very very long. That is the only negative point I have.

Dearest Pack Rat. I would like to share my EXTREME frustration with my recent (and apparently ongoing) move. I had my container picked up on Oct. the 16th with absolutely ... Read More Dearest Pack Rat. I would like to share my EXTREME frustration with my recent (and apparently ongoing) move. I had my container picked up on Oct. the 16th with absolutely no issue and everything was great. I confidently made my transition from MN to MA expecting my container to be shortly behind me. I was expecting delivery on the 28th of Oct as quoted, only to receive a call on the Thursday prior letting me know there was a breakdown mid transit and my new delivery date was to be the 31st. A mere three days, no problem right? On Wed the 29th I called 800-PACK-RAT to confirm delivery and to ensure afternoon delivery as I had to work in the AM. The conversation went off without a hitch and the young lady who helped me confirmed I would receive a call approximately 1 hour prior to my afternoon delivery window. Perfect! Right? Hardly. The following afternoon on the 30th, I received another call from you. This time telling me it is going to be delayed another TWELVE DAYS!!!!!! This is BEYOND ridiculous. My life has been put on hold, my work has been put on hold (taking days off for deliveries that never happened, and my home office is packed in the container), because of your failure to hold your end of our agreement! Please advise where we are in this process and I now have absolutely ZERO confidence in your company.

Read More We priced four different options to make our cross country move. We selected Pack Rat because they had a competitive price and larger containers.They delivered the pod for loading on time and picked up as requested. They were also on time with delivery once they moved it to our new home. The technicians were all friendly and courteous. The one who dropped the empty pod offered his suggestion on the best way to load to minimize shifting of the load.The only negatives was there was no way to track the progress of our pod to see where it was along the way. That would be an important feature to add. They're moving a lifetime of memories and things and it would help lessen some of the stress.They also charged an additional fee for gas that wasn't disclosed during the contract process. This would also have been important to know up front.Overall we would recommend using them, but also encourage the updates suggested for a better customer experience.
