Read More Where do I start??? Estimate was BS. We came in 600 cubic Ft lower than estimate and were up charged $8K and were forced to pay under duress. One of the movers was doing drugs in the bathroom, and passed out in the closet. Oh and it took them 11 hrs to move a 3 bedroom house. Mind you we had everything packed and staged in the garage. They didn’t use a single box or tape. We did EVERYTHING. We were told 20-30 days. We received our belongings 72 days after pickup. Well outside the 30-45 days we were required after they started the move. Virtually zero communication and have left multiple VM’s and Emails for “Customer Service” to have a conversation with me. This place is terrible. They hide behind a cloak of professionalism, but it is the furthest thing from it. They think because they haven’t been taken to court and dissolved that they can keep getting away with it. Literally every review about this company says the same thing. We were swindled, lied to, and lied to again regarding our belongings. I will make it my life’s mission to share with everyone how crooked this company is. Go to the Facebook and look up moving fraud group. This company is all over the page. Everyone tells the same story. I hope all bad things in life happen to this company, and anyone who represents them.

Read More AmeriSafe Van Lines, acting as a moving broker (US DOT 3341650, MC 01066696), provided a binding estimate on 4/14/2026 for our interstate move from Emeryville, CA to Pittsburgh, PA: 801 cubic feet for $11,878.19. Three days before our scheduled 5/31/2026 pickup, on 5/28/2026, AmeriSafe issued a revised binding estimate nearly tripling the cubic footage to 2,200 cf and raising the total to $29,999.01, with the required deposit rising from $5,900.00 to $14,998.88. No physical survey was conducted for either estimate, and we did not add any additional items or services between the two estimates that would justify this increase. This left us with no reasonable opportunity to seek an alternative mover before the scheduled pickup date, consistent with the low-estimate-then-price-increase pattern FMCSA warns consumers about. AmeriSafe also repeatedly represented that our move was full "door to door" service, which we understood to include our vehicle. On the day of pickup, we were told no one was coming to transport our vehicle, forcing us to arrange separate transport at our own expense. AmeriSafe assigned our shipment to a different motor carrier, Space Y Moving LLC (US DOT 4031387, MC 1717220), without disclosing this to us in advance. We found out only when Space Y's crew and paperwork arrived on pickup day.
