Read More Hands down the worst moving company ever. They are not even a moving company, they are brokers who apparently do not have good communication with the moving company. I was supposed to have my move on June 16th because my apartment lease ended on that date. The truck never showed up and then on June 18th at 4 pm, they said the truck won't be there and I had to cancel the services.

Total household list submitted and included in my quote. Movers show up with only 9ft of space (30% of a 26ft box truck). Now mind you, on this list is a king size bed ... Read More Total household list submitted and included in my quote. Movers show up with only 9ft of space (30% of a 26ft box truck). Now mind you, on this list is a king size bed w/base, another bed, full size refrigerator, washer/dryer, 20 totes, couch and chair, dining table, etc.....normal house. They proceed to tell my wife it will be double ($4300 quote) because they need more room and tell her this is "normal". Moving company folks who show up don't speak english, don't have a logo'd truck (old all white box truck) and are yelling at each other in some eastern european language. We cancel, get spoken to like a pile of crap, and they will not refund our deposit ($2100). Stay far away from this company.

Inaccurate Estimates & Price Increases: On 9Jan25, I spoke with Mark to schedule my move from CA to CO. We agreed on a binding estimate. However, on 31Mar25, Steven contacted me, stating that the cu. ft. of my shipment had doubled, requiring an additional $5,000 deposit, bringing the total to over $8,700. Even though I provided measurements and listed all items to be moved. 2. Failure to Honor Delivery Promises: I was promised our own truck and a direct move with delivery in 4-7 days. Pickup occurred on 1Apr25, but my belongings were not delivered until 18Apr25—17 days later. This forced me to change flight plans and use additional days of military leave that I was saving to be able to spend them with my wife and daughter for this coming Christmas. 3. False Info About the Move Process: Despite being promised a direct move, my belongings were unloaded into a warehouse and stored until a full truck was ready to depart. Research revealed many customers had similar experiences. 4. Confusion About the Deposit: Initially told my deposit would cover moving costs but later discovered from the moving company that was a lie. 5. Lacking Customer Service: After the move, I couldn't reach Mark or Steven. Aiden, who claimed to have listened to my calls, couldn't provide any useful info. Eventually, Aiden offered me $1,000 as "relief," which turned out to be a settlement offer that required me to accept the terms and not pursue any legal action. As of 5/12/25 the offer changed to $2,000. This offer was clearly intended to silence me rather than resolve the issues at hand. 6. Refusal to Address Concerns: When I raised issues, I was told AMS wouldn't be responsible until 30 days after delivery. Specific Complaints: 1. Substantial Price Increase: I was charged a significant price increase the day before pick-up, a practice that I have read is common with Amerisafe (as seen in various online reviews). 2. Direct Move Promises: Amerisafe failed to deliver on their promise of a direct move, instead storing my belongings in a warehouse. 3. Failed Delivery Date: Amerisafe's failure to deliver within the promised 4-7 days timeframe was a significant inconvenience. 4. No-Show Car Hauler: The contracted car hauler was a no-show and canceled the transport altogether. 5. Deposit Confusion: I was misled about the purpose of the "deposit," which I believed would be held for the moving company but instead was not allocated appropriately. ________________________________________ Resolution Sought: I am requesting that Amerisafe Moving Services take the following actions to resolve my complaint: 1. A half refund of the $8,700 deposit, as the services provided were far below expectations, and I was misled at every stage of the process. 2. Compensation for the inconvenience caused by the delayed delivery and the failure to adhere to their promises of a direct move. 3. An official acknowledgment of the poor service provided and steps taken to ensure future customers are not subjected to similar experiences. 4. A public commitment to improve their business practices, particularly regarding customer communication, honesty, and the transparency of their pricing structure. Read More Complete NIGHTMARE. I was happy at first until no delivery and they were telling me when they are coming instead of asking what works. They are a Scam broker who sends anyone. I have to go to the police department now they are holding my stuff hostage requesting cash and fees.Do not use them they will send out anyone who will steal and break your things. They changed the contract and cubic feet after moving my stuff. Once you do business customer service blames you, hangs up and says it's too late. I wish I didn't do this to myself. I thought they were moving my stuff not some criminals they call partners. They are not BBB rated and go under a different name. Look up reviews.

I initially contacted Amerisafe Moving Services for a household move and made it explicitly clear that I required a 26-foot truck to accommodate my belongings. I already had a reservation with Penske for such a truck, but the Amerisafe representative, Andrew, assured me that the company could provide the same size truck for approximately the same cost, with the added convenience of handling gas expenses and loading services. He emphasized that there would be plenty of space for my items based on the inventory I provided. However, I later discovered that I had been scheduled for only 998 cubic feet of truck space—far less than the capacity of a standard 26-foot truck, which holds approximately 1,700 to 1,800 cubic feet. This discrepancy was not explained to me at the time of booking. Instead, Andrew and the team minimized the size of my inventory items to make it appear that the smaller space would suffice, which was clearly misleading. Three days before my scheduled pick-up, I received a FaceTime call to review my items. Shortly afterward, I was informed that the price would increase significantly, despite having already paid a $2,010 deposit. It was during this interaction that I realized the full extent of the bait-and-switch tactics being employed. I was being forced to either agree to the last-minute inflated price or forfeit most of my deposit. In the end, I was refunded only half of my deposit ($1,005). This experience was both frustrating and unacceptable. I chose not to proceed with Amerisafe and canceled the vehicle transport I had also booked with them. Fortunately, I had already begun breaking down my furniture, which allowed me to pivot to another provider. Still, the ordeal was stressful and left me out a considerable amount of money. I believe Amerisafe Moving Services engages in fraudulent practices to secure business under false pretenses and then traps customers into accepting unreasonable terms or suffering financial loss. These tactics are not only unethical, but they may also be illegal. I request that a full investigation into this matter be conducted, and that Amerisafe Moving Services be held accountable. Furthermore, I am requesting a full refund of my deposit, as I did not receive the service promised to me at the time of booking. Buyers beware: based on my experience, I caution others to carefully vet this company before committing to any service.

Read More You will be asked to provide a list of items to be moved, yet the people they subcontract you out to reevaluate your items onsite using cubic feet making it impossible to defend yourself or prevent a huge price increase. I was given 2 pick up days despite living out of state and they refused to commit to a particular day until the night before. Delivery was 2-5 days we told them one day was impossible for us and we were reassured they would work with us. The work around was a 3 week wait unless we were free the day we told them was impossible. The men delivering spoke little to no English and refused to assemble the beds. There is a customer service line that is hostile and worthless....I was told by one person that they dont like British people or their accents and that he can say anything he wants to me as none of the calls are recorded. It was an astoundingly bad experience.
