Read More DO NOT use this company. The representative we spoke with, Brian James, was extremely pushy during the quoting process and repeatedly pressured us to “lock in” the lowest possible rate before prices supposedly increased. When I explained that I wanted time to do research before making a deposit, he reassured me multiple times that the deposit would be 100% refundable and that Amerisafe would meet or beat any competitor pricing. A few days later, after researching the company and seeing the overwhelming number of negative customer experiences, I decided to cancel. That’s when I was suddenly informed that the deposit was only fully refundable within 72 hours — something that was never clearly explained upfront. The supervisor I spoke with refused to make any exception, stating that “everyone wants a one-time exception.” The most frustrating part is that this deposit was for THOUSANDS of dollars, and our move wasn’t even scheduled for another 45 days. Keeping that much money so far in advance, while refusing to work with customers who were misled during the sales process, is incredibly concerning. If a company is that desperate for money, it’s not a company I would ever recommend doing business with.
