When I started planning my move, I spoke with quite a few companies—some were offering prices that sounded almost too good to be true, and others were way outside of my budget. Safe Hands wasn’t the cheapest quote I received, but they also weren’t the most expensive. What really stood out to me, though, was that they are a direct carrier. Throughout the process, they made it very clear that they are not a broker, which gave me peace of mind. They took the time to explain exactly how the moving process works, what to expect, and what my responsibilities were versus theirs. They answered every question I had and didn’t rush me through anything just to get my deposit. I appreciated that they didn’t badmouth other companies—I never once felt pressured or like they were trying to scare me into booking with them. Instead, they focused on explaining their own process and what made them different. It was clear they wanted me to make an informed decision that I’d feel good about. I couldn’t have been more wrong. The guys showed up ready to work, and they moved fast and efficiently the entire time—no wasted time, no unnecessary breaks. What really impressed me was that they even brought on a third mover halfway through at no extra charge, just to help get everything done quicker. They treated my furniture with care but didn’t waste a minute. In the end, they saved me time and money, and the whole move went smoother than I could have hoped for. Highly recommend!

They promised to arrive on pick-up day… twice. But neither time did they show, and I ended up losing my deposit. After some digging, I learned they weren’t a direct mover at all. They simply brokered the job to an actual carrier. I found this out by checking the DOT website. Unlike Safe Hands Relocation (USDOT 4203266), which is listed as a direct, licensed carrier for household goods , this other company didn’t appear with any carrier authority. That was my first big red flag—if they can’t show DOT registration and carrier authority, it likely means they’re not equipped to perform the move themselves. The entire experience felt sketchy: I paid a deposit upfront, never got a clear estimate or contract, and on moving day—nothing. When I reached out, there was no truck, no crew, no explanation. Just silence. And because I paid in advance, I couldn’t get the money back. It wasn’t until I checked DOT records that I saw they were just brokering out the move, not actually conducting it themselves—meaning no truck, no accountability, no one to show up.

I was moving a lot of fragile items this time around—antiques, my grandmother’s china, and a few glass cabinets I was really worried about. From the very first call, Safe Hands stood out because they asked specific questions about what I was moving instead of just throwing out a generic price. They offered me the option to have everything professionally packed and wrapped, which honestly gave me so much peace of mind. It did cost a little extra, but considering what I was moving, it was well worth it. On moving day, their crew showed up with all the right materials—blankets, pads, shrink wrap, and custom boxes. They wrapped each piece like it was their own and labeled everything clearly so I’d know exactly where it was when it came time to unpack. I’ve had bad experiences in the past with items arriving scratched or broken, but this time around, not a single thing was damaged. The movers were respectful of my home too—they laid down floor runners and protected door frames so nothing would get dinged up. I also appreciated that they stayed in communication the whole time. I got updates on when they were on the way, when they arrived, and when they were about to deliver. They handled everything efficiently but didn’t rush. In the end, every piece arrived exactly as it left. If you’re moving anything valuable or sentimental, I can’t recommend Safe Hands Relocation enough. They took so much of the stress off my shoulders—I actually felt like my stuff was safer with them than it was sitting in my house!
