Read More During a recent move to East Tennessee from Southeast Georgia, we decided it might be easier to hire movers instead of DIY. After some shopping around, I contacted this company. During the initial phone call, I went room by room and after estimating the amount of items, was quoted $2206.54 as a "binding" estimate. This was May 19. Move date scheduled for June 19. A few days before the move, I noticed that some items were left off that I am CERTAIN were discussed on the inventory. No big deal right? It was just one of the 42 inch flat screens, a couple of small rocking chairs, a small cabinet. We would just straighten that out during the QC call and it would be maybe a few hundred more bucks. QC call June 17. "quote" jumps to $5600 dollars. and the 51 pieces (boxes, etc.) were suddenly 84 (despite this being days before the move and not counted by their personnel. Shocked, we got rid of some things and got it down to $5200. In the end, ended up paying around $5700 out of pocket. It seems that lure you in with a low quote, then suddenly hit you with massive upcharges, if you complain, they try to give you a paltry hush money offer, if you reject this, they put you on the phone with someone verbally combative to use interrogation tactics on you, interrupt you, etc. until you hang up, then they will immediately leave a voicemail accusing you of a crime (extortion), not exaggerating.

Read More DO NOT WORK WITH THESE PEOPLE. Their verbal promises never align with what actually transpires. They completely lack a customer service mindset. Any time you have an issue, they regurgitate the same script and never actually do anything that helps. I was promised a date by which I would receive my items by - a week after that date passed, they still couldn’t even tell me where my possessions were. In one instance, I was cut off by a service rep and transferred to his supervisor (in the middle of my sentence), Jason Santos, who also regurgitated the same asinine script - but this time with a rude and patronizing approach. He was extremely defensive and avoidant and acted exactly as the other people at this company do - cold and unhelpful. He was fully unafraid to be rude and call the customer unreasonable while claiming that I was wasting everyone’s time, which is something I’ve NEVER experienced in customer service. I waited for my items for so long that I thought I had been scammed. They doubled my estimate when they arrived to pick up my items and never had any idea where they were. If you check the Better Business Bureau, they have countless complaints against them - this is not a company that you want to work with. They will wear you down until you have no energy or ability to argue your case with zero recourse for their mistakes. Update : on the 28th business day, I received my items. About 70% of them were fully destroyed and completely useless - my 85 inch tv also never made it to me and they could not tell me where it went. They had sent 2 movers to unload the items, but only 1 moved the items and I had to help move everything in. Upon arrival, they also asked me for a THIRD payment, which I had to pay or they’d drive all the way back to their distribution center with my items. They hold your items hostage and refuse to help in any way. My lawyers are already informed and will be taking action.
