Thomas Transfer & Storage Co., Inc. was founded in 1945 in Emporia, Kansas, as Thomas Truck Terminal. Then, we were a truck stop and a local cartage company. Now - more than 65 years later - we've become one of the leading commercial and residential relocation moving companies in the Midwest. We are Better Business Bureau-accredited, an American Trucking Associations' Moving & Storage Conference-designated ProMover, and an agent of United Van Lines, one of the world's premier carriers. Our company's Emporia location is still in operation, and we now own a facility in Wichita. Thomas Transfer & Storage has been owned by the same family since our company first opened its doors more than 65 years ago, and, due to the size of our Kansas service area, we're the only United agency in Wichita and its surrounding cities. Our fully licensed and insured company offers each customer comprehensive moving surveys and estimates, premium valuation insurance coverage throughout the moving process, secure wrapping and packing, and, as a result of our United agent status, access to some of the industry's top moving equipment.
