Read More My daughter used them to move from Seattle to Raleigh recently. This was a terrible experience. They did not come when they were supposed to and then told her that they hadn’t even shipped it out and had 21 days. They told her she would be notified when they were on the way and updated when they would be arriving. Wrong! We were out of town and get a call that they were coming the next day. We had to leave our hotel in Wilmington and get to Raleigh. They lost some boxes and we received some one else’s stuff. They refused to do anything about it. Do not use this company! They are terrible! The guy delivering was rude and said he was just a contractor. He didn’t want to put up the bed when she had paid for that and made a fuss when we insisted he do so. Can’t believe they can get away with such poor management and service.

Find another mover if you care about your furniture getting to it's destination.

Read More At first, Adam's moving was very good at communicating with me but once they picked up my items it was as if they disappeared into thin air. My delivery date was moved out every week for four weeks and every time I called customer service they did not give me any information to go off of. They never reached out to me with any updates and I was always the one reaching out to find out the status of my items. Once my items had finally been loaded on to the truck, they had a delay along the way because another customer stop before me was unable to take delivery. That delayed my items an additional week. It took me over a month since I last saw my items to when I received them. I never actually heard from dispatch themselves either over the phone or via email, I was always having to contact them. Once I received notice that my items were loaded FINALLY on the truck to come here, I was given the truckers contact number. The second time I reached out to him, he yelled at me over the phone saying that I was bothering him too. I would try to contact the Adam's moving but often I would know more than they did because they claimed to be "too busy". If you're not adequately staffed, then you shouldn't be running a business like this. It is completely unacceptable to say "this is just how the industry works" and frankly disturbing that they have even been able to operate this way. They finally delivered my things 1 month and 5 days after I moved out of my original apartment in Houston and I had water damage on my bed and a cabinet, they lost my rug and a lamp and the boxes came completely mangled which caused a couple of my items to be beyond repair once delivered. The actual delivery men in Chicago were actually very good and were coincidently not part of Adam's moving because they contract out to other drivers once the semi actual arrives in the city. They also made me pay extra for a smaller truck to deliver my goods in the city because they claimed the truck couldn't fit down my street. The moving company should have figured this out BEFORE moving my things, they surely had enough time. If you are considering moving across the country, DO NOT USE THEM. Pay the extra $1,000 and go with a trusted and reputable moving company where they care about their customers and will communicate with you appropriately. Or better yet, move your stuff yourself because that is what I'll be doing.

Read More Mario and this company are scam artists. Quoted and guaranteed a price match. Showed up wanting to charge almost 3x as much, then wouldn’t respond. Drivers were confused as they showed me their paperwork that this was a price match and approved by the boss, but estimate was changed. Also was told $450 deposit may or may not be returned by Operations manager. Called corporate and they said we don’t care sounds like you misunderstood and proceeded to tell me pursue legal action if you want, we don’t care. Will be filing complaint to Attorney General office, and other consumer protection agencies. Stay away.
