Read More I would not recommend this company to anyone. They will lie to you from the very beginning. You wouldn’t even know they are lying to you because you’ll be moving your stuff for the first time. They claim that there are no hidden costs and later you find various other costs. One of the costs I had to bear which I wasn’t told earlier was the cost of moving the stuff from my door to the truck. They charge $50 for moving your stuff 75 feet out of the door. Just in case, they have found the parking slightly away from the exit door, they would have made a couple hundred dollars right there. I was moving from stuff from west coast to east coast. On the phone, I was told by the representative that it will take from 9 to 14 days. That’s all a lie. They held my stuff for 15 days on the west coast and kept saying we have to fill the truck or else we cannot ship your stuff unless it’s a full load of truck. Now, my stuff is stuck with them and I can’t do anything about it. At this point I have made more than half of the payment. This is the worst company I have ever seen. Please do not book with them. You will end up being disturbed by them.

Read More I would not suggest hiring this company if you want your furniture to stay intact. Despite charging a fair price for each tiny thing for a 2-bedroom apartment), they damaged four pieces of furniture (a nightstand, a desk, a shoe cabinet, and a bookcase). We haven't even opened our boxes yet, so we can't even tell whether other products have been harmed.

Read More Caveat Emptor comes into play when booking Alliance Van Line Inc. They are not actually movers but brokers. The company promised me my stuff would be delivered on Monday / Tuesday this week. We are in Florida and now find out our stuff is still in NJ in a warehouse. After numerous calls the net -net is it won't be delivered for another 2 weeks. I was promised this week and now they tell me they have 21 days to deliver. They were very dishonest when taking the order from us. This is something that needs to be said upfront so we can make an intelligent decision on whom to use. They don't even help out when you call. It's pretty obvious now why they wanted cash not a CC. If I had put this on a CC it would be in dispute already. I will follow up with another review once my stuff is delivered. At this point all I can say is avoid this company at all cost.

Everything got here within the time frame but there were lots of damages, which isn't surprising if you seen the way it was re-loaded into the semi. My problem is when trying to file a claim, the "finish" button at the end doesn't work on any devices that I've tried. I have emailed a few times with no helpful responses. I would like them to reach out and make this right.

Read More HORRIBLE experience. Contacted Alliance for an upcoming move. They gave a big speech about how there won’t be any hidden fees. I could pick the days of my move. Find out they are only a broker. Dispatched work order to a moving company. Both had rude people on the lines. There were hidden charges, did not get to pick one of my moving dates and my furniture was ruined. If you’re able to. Move yourself or make sure you are using an actual reliable mover.

Read More I had contacted several shipping companies for a quote and I got a call from John L from Alliance Van lines (who I had never contacted.. they must have received my info somehow)He strategically coerced me into signing a contract by saying he is offering a special price if I can confirm on the call. We fell for it as the price was great! He gave me a quote based on my itemized list, I also provided him measurements of all my furniture. But he said measurements do not matter as a 3 seater or 6 seater dining table would be standard size and they have it in their system which made sense. Two days before my flight the movers come in on scheduled time... and start loading half our stuff into their truck. Then he tells us the estimate was all wrong and my furniture was very bulky and is taking up too much space in their truck. And it would cost me another $2200!! This is all after I in fact had 10 boxes less than my original count, and all my furniture is from Ikea so no way this was bulky. When I told them I would cancel, they said that I would lose my deposit and I would have to pay labor because they loaded the truck. I felt like I was being held at ransom and had no choice as with my flight in 2 days there was no way I would secure another mover in this time. Then it all made sense as to why Alliance Van Lines coerced me into signing the same day with a great price, and then had me in a difficult situation where I would have to agree to their terms. I was told that ALLIANCE IS JUST A BROKER CO. who passed on the job to "Expert movers". Alliance had assured me they had their own trucks. I would never wish for anyone to face this situation, I wish I knew this is how shipping companies take advantage of people. It is not about the money but the principle of it. I feel I have been conned! And I would want anyone looking to move to be aware of what these guys are capable off. I emailed the agent and my msg has been blocked! I'm surprised by all these positive reviews!! Update- Xpert/Expert movers Union city NJ outsourced the delivery to another scamster who delivered our stuff with a ripped out roof! Our furniture was damaged and he refused to re-assemble the furniture which was part of our contract with Alliance Van lines. The truck driver hired labor from craigslist at 20$ an hour to do the job, where I paid $5000/- for a one bed move ...thinking I am hiring professional movers!!! ABSOLUTE FRAUDSTERS!!
