Read More Some of the most disappointing points with respect of my moving service with Moving APT was the fact that my needs were extremely underestimated. I told Mollie that when we moved to DeKalb,IL, it was by a semitruck. She assured me that a 26 ft truck would be big enough. I had sent pictures of everything that was going to be moved. Initially I believed that the buyers of my house were going to buy some of my furniture but they chose not to so I let Mollie know that everything needed to be moved. I told her and the person that spoke to me during the Quality Assurance Checklist meeting that a number of items needed to be added to the checklist. They said no worries and that I was covered. It took two 26-foot trucks plus I had to rent another 26 foot truck and a medium sized U-Haul truck at a cost of $250 plus $50.12 for gas charges to load up the remaining items. You will have to agree that my moving needs were very much underestimated and I would expect to receive some form of compensation for this situation. I wanted and paid for the Platinum Full Packing Service which was a total cost of $3042.20 to me. They hired Meta Van Lines to do this and their service was nonexistent at best. The packers did not label any of the boxes making it impossible to find anything. Out of 4 garment boxes that were for my bedroom, only 1 had the clothes hung up. The clothes in the other three boxes were stacked one on top of each other with the hangers still attached to the clothes. Some of my other clothing were stuffed inside some of the other boxes There are several items that have been damaged or broken including pictures, vases and furniture. The movers were drinking beer on the job of which my realtor took and he was very angry that this was happening and took pictures of which I can provide. I picked up 2 beer cans and the wrapping from a 12-pack from my driveway sitting outside of the moving truck. Some of the items such as vases and lamps were not packaged properly causing damage to the items. The movers said they would put the furniture that they had disassembled back together. They reassembled 3 dressers and 2 beds, but did not attach the headboard to my daughter's bed. Additionally, they piled all of the boxes and other items against the furniture making it impossible for the movers to reassemble the furniture. They initially said they would take the furniture to a storage unit located about 5 miles from my condo of which they didn't do. Nor did they return the U-Haul truck and consequently my son returned it. I'm having professional unpacking and organizing staff come in and help me go through the items and boxes in the garage. I paid for this type of service because the movers piled everything that didn't go into the house haphazardly into the garage including several unlabeled boxes. I have pictures of what my garage looks like that I can supply. I can send pictures of everything including all of the furniture in my house that was to be moved, the condition of some of the boxes we have opened so far, and the damaged items.needless You will have to agree that compensation for the $3042.20 I spent for the Platinum Full Packing Service is due to me. The damage is worse than I would have ever thought of it being. The reason I moved is that my husband passed away from a short bout of cancer last October. I moved back room Monticello, IL where we had raised our children and where we have relatives and many good friends. I certainly did not expect to have this type of a stressful and unsuccessful moving experience. I truly hope this issue is addressed so that it suits me. Thank you. Sheri Kallembach

All the breakables were very carefully boxed with lots of tapes. Their immaculate packing paid off after the delivery. We didn’t have to open random boxes in search of something particular. It really made our life easier. The best part was that nothing was missing whatsoever. That must be a first for any move!

They took over all the responsibilities on their shoulders and did such a fine job. They maintained their schedules and transported every piece of my belongings safely. They quoted cheaply to begin with. The final bill was even less than the quote. It was such a satisfactory move. I am definitely not scared of moving anymore.

I can go on and on about how amazing Moving apt is but if they can’t accommodate you, it doesn’t mean anything. So, I suggest that if you are moving, you hire them as early as possible. I had to call them about 10 times to find a vacant slot and I was calling them 3 weeks in advance. This company is amazing and so there is a long waiting list. So, plan your move ahead of time and book Moving apt if you love the things you own.

They took just 3 hours to pack and load everything from our 4-bedroom apartment. All our belongings were delivered safely and nothing was harmed during the trip. I have to give them credits for this amazing performance at such a low price.

I took it right away. The whole move went very effortlessly. The movers were great and they didn’t even rush anything given the short notice. I would have been happy only if they showed up given my situation but the movers did such a good job in the end. All the other moving companies I called quoted ridiculously. But they charged me the rightful price.

Read More I didn't want to use any storage facilities and hired the truck for 2 days. Moving apt agreed to it and didn’t try to pursue me to hire a storage facility. The movers were great. They maintained their timings and worked very efficiently. As the boxes and everything else stayed inside the van, I was quite worried for them. But luckily, nothing suffered any kind of damage. Hiring the truck for 2 days definitely increased the bill but I just don’t trust the storage companies. The actual moving process with Moving apt was absolutely effortless. I highly recommend this company.

Read More After moving with 4 different moving companies and losing favorite possessions in their hands, I finally found a moving company who does the job perfectly. Moving Apt helped me move last month. The best thing about them is that they listen. Most movers come in with the mindset that they know better. But at the end of the day, these are my valuables. The movers from this company were really attentive to my instructions. They packed everything as I instructed them, rather than using their own brains. They did display amazing skills though. The delivery was prompt and everything arrived safely. I surely got my way with this company.

I will strongly recommend this company

Read More We had originally hired a different moving company to move our valuables. But 2 days before the moving date, the company emailed us canceling the appointment. I tried calling them to no avail. In a rush, I called Moving Apt, which has a great reputation in the market. They are such a big company that it wasn’t an issue for them to accommodate me. Of course they performed very professionally. The movers were punctual, efficient and strong. They were constantly cracking jokes and it really unloaded some stress of relocation.
