Everything went smoothly. Because they had been executing effective movements for a while, the team was really competent.

Read More This company will rip you off. The original quote was $4500. This included the second set of stairs and the second stop. Robert was going to be there every step of the way. I have never been able to get a hold of him again. Another guy called and said probably needed to add more space, told me it would be an additional $1500 and I had to pay it right then. I paid it like an idiot. They were moving a one bedroom apartment and a 10x10 storage about 60% full. Movers show up and had me sign the papers at the apartment so we had a place to write. Didn't know the papers were supposed to be filled in first. Get to the storage and they took about a quarter of it then told me I owed them $2000 at pickup and delivery instead of the $1000 I was quoted. Couldn't get a hold of anyone but the driver finally did and the $1500 for the 30 extra boxes was $3500. They left everything in the storage except a few boxes they took and I had to pay it. Then I couldn't get a hold or Relo to get my stuff delivered. Called everyday and left a message and nobody called me back. I started calling 11 days after I left TN to give them the address in NM. The 24 of August a driver calls me and says he will deliver the 25. I called Swift, sent emails, text messages everyday and nobody would answer. They deliver and now I owe another $290 and he shows me the paperwork and I had to pay a second time for the stairs and second stop. Then I find out they charged me $45 for a box Robert told me would be $10 maybe $15. I was blocked from the original paperwork from Swift online so I couldn't show the driver where I had already paid it. Swift is the worst company and contract to horrible delivery people. They are liars who will rip you off. Do not use this company or trust Robert and his lies. They will charge you at least double of what they originally quote you. And the story about how they insure each item for $10,000 is a lie. Washer is dented the TV doesn't work and the movers are only liable for something like $.08 a pound. Worst, most stressful move of my life. Do not trust this company.

Read More The worst moving company on this planet, and I have moved a lot, including cross continents and cross country. They give you a sale pitch with low price and how no additional fees will possibly occur and once they take your deposit, it all goes down hill. They increased price almost two fold because of changes in inventory of 10 more boxes (75 vs. 65 boxes caused price increase from $2.5k to $4.5k) in a scale of one bedroom apartment move with furniture. The person on the phone doing final inventory was rude and straight up said take $4.5 final or lose your 1k deposit, which also happened right before the move leaving me absolutely no choice but pay double. Then, they said they would provide insurance in advance (required by my building) and in the end I only saw insurance after driver showed up. Company that showed up had their own fees, that were not part of my contract with swift shift van lines, or even explicitly I was told in the contract that I wouldn't pay ("no elevator charge"), that I was forced to pay in advance otherwise they wouldn't start the move. They sent too few people and move took so long, they went over 1 hour outside of the window that my building allowed for moves (which I made company aware multiple times) and caused serious friction with management in my building. Upon arrival of my stuff across the country, additional fees were imposed that were not part of my contract (which I was forced to pay if I wanted to get my stuff back) for the total of $5.1k (vs. $2.5k quote I received when I started talking to them). Cherry on top - they made me sign inventory before they delivered and then they lost an electric scooter worth $1.3k and did absolutely nothing about it! I got back $20 from insurance claim!!! Multiple items were also damaged. Not a single lamp survived their "white glove" service. Absolutely, not under a gun point would I ever agree or recommend this company to anyone.
