Read More I recently moved from Florida to Washington. United One Van Lines was the broker that gave me the initial quote. The company was initially very communicative. Pick-up was smooth and I ended up having some more boxes than expected so I was fine with the price going up on the pick-up date. After our items were picked up by the carrier, we heard nothing for almost 3 weeks. I consistently called for updates and was given the run-around or told to contact the carrier directly, although the contract requires them to contact the carrier as the broker and keep me updated. Although I was assured many times during the sales pitch that my items would arrive well in advance of the 21-business day timeline required by law, my belongings were delivered over a month after the first available delivery date. Thankfully I had air tags in several boxes. My belongings sat in warehouses for weeks while my husband and I slept on an air mattress on Christmas and New Year’s. At one point my belongings had switched between so many carriers that United One Van Lines did not know who actually had my belongings. Do not expect this company to be helpful once you’ve paid them the deposit. They basically absolve themselves of all responsibility once your items are picked up by whatever carrier they subcontract with for your move.

The movers didn’t treat it lightly, and they handled my things with just as much care as they would for a big move. That stood out to me. I felt looked after and appreciated every bit of effort they gave.

Read More Avoid this moving company at all costs. All around a nightmare experience. They showed up late. The customer service was straight out of KGB Eastern Bloc style something. They took no care of my mom's inventory (furniture, lamps, household goods, etc) and ended up destroying or damaging over 5k usd of her stuff during the interstate move. And they offered a 40 usd refund after I documented it all and took hours detailing it. Absolutely do not allow this company to touch your move from home to new home.

Filing cabinets were moved without tilting, so the contents stayed in place. By afternoon, the workspace felt organized, and we could continue working without hunting for missing parts or documents.
