And really know how to pack a storage unit.

I had an impossible task of moving in 1 week and I needed help packing some of the house. They were able to get me a quote quickly and also on the schedule for my move - which I thought would be impossible in the short time frame, but it wasn't Everyone as professional and they took special care for all my items so nothing would be broke. I would recommend them to anyone and will use again in future.

Read More I’ve moved with the help of Coastal Moving Services a few times, but questioned getting movers at all when moving to a new apartment in my building. But I’m sooo glad I did! They were so careful & expert in how they moved things & even gave me some great guidance on fixing some wobbly furniture. The communication from Toni & co was on point throughout. And Jack was really communicative when he was on his way. The cost was exactly as quoted & it was super simple to pay through Venmo. I’m so glad I didn’t try to do it on my own!

Read More I had a great experience with my move through Coastal Moving Services. Roque, the lead on my team, was fantastic, professional, organized, and clearly experienced. He made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. The entire crew did an excellent job handling my belongings with care and efficiency. I also really appreciated how attentive and communicative everyone at Roadway was throughout the process. It made the move feel much less stressful.

CAUTION for Bait and Switch

CAUTION, this is a Bait and Switch company. Coastal Movers provided me with an original estimate that was almost 4x lower than the actual cost. During the initial call, I ... Read More CAUTION, this is a Bait and Switch company. Coastal Movers provided me with an original estimate that was almost 4x lower than the actual cost. During the initial call, I provided them with the dimensions of my stuffed storage shed that was to be moved (10'x20'x8' high, which comes out to 1,600 cubic feet), they quoted me a little over $4,000 (but, unknown to me, they had only estimated 431 cubic feet). An initial non-refundable deposit was required at this time in order to move forward in their process. When the quality control member called me to give an estimate according to photos (just two days before the scheduled move was to occur), the price jumped to ~$10,400 and there was no way to get the deposit back—I had to choose to either move forward or lose my ~$1,700 deposit. Feeling stuck, being so near to the moving date, I agreed to move forward and they required another ~$2,500 to continue. The move has not yet happened, I will update this post after that time. UPDATE: On moving day a logistics company showed up with a rented 1,700 cubic foot U-haul truck and two laborers they got off of CraigsList that morning (who had never worked in moving before). The logistics company worker did an estimate of his own and thought the total cubic footage to be closer to 2,000 cubic feet. He called Coastal Movers who called me back with a new price of ~$16,000 (4x the original estimate of ~$4,000). They again asked for more money to go forward in the process and I finally pulled the plug—every time I spoke with them the price went up about $5,000. At this point I have paid them about $4,280 and they refused to refund any of that money. That evening I contacted my credit card company, the one I had used to pay Coastal, and told them my story. They agreed to take the Coastal Movers charge off my bill for now while they investigate the matter. In the meantime, I had another company move my belongings and it came out to just over 1,600 cubic feet—the exact number I gave Coastal Movers from the beginning! It is currently being moved for $7,500 which seems like a fair price for this time of the year (January). I will update this post as events continue to open.

They took great care with my belongings. Gave me a fair price AND STUCK TO IT! No hidden fees, they delivered on all of their promises. Larry was a fantastic first contact with the company. I will hire them again for a future move!

Foreman Juan Velez and his crew went above and beyond, caring for every single piece of furniture as if it were their own. Everything was wrapped with precision, carefully broken down, and perfectly reassembled. The team was professional, efficient, and so easy to work with. I didn’t have to lift a finger. If you’re looking for a moving company that makes the process seamless and stress-free I highly recommend them!

They’re amazing communicators and kept us posted every step of the way. No hidden fees and we paid exactly how much we were expecting. They were very honest and transparent .The movers were extremely efficient and handled all of our items with great care. Everything went so smoothly and all of our stuff is in one piece.
