Read More The person who showed up said he is independent from the people who took the booking and demanded more money than what was contracted. I had no choice but to pay. They take all the money up front, so you are at their mercy. He wouldn't take 2 extra boxes. The entire move with Dumbo left a very bad taste. I will never use them again.

Read More I was apprehensive about moving my home garden to my new place. I had a variety of plants – from delicate orchids to heavy potted trees. Andrew team arrived with specialized plant containers, ensuring my plants were snug and secure. They even offered advice on how to care for them during transit. His team went the extra mile, carefully labeling each container and placing them strategically in the moving van for optimal light. Thanks to them, my green companions arrived healthy and thriving!

Read More I will preface this review by saying that the crew who did the move were timely and great. However, the office/sales staff, specifically George was the most unprofessional person I’ve ever dealt with. I collected quotes from multiple moving companies as one does and when we informed Dumbo moving that we were not selecting them, they reached out asking how they could win our business. We told them that they were markedly over priced compared to what we’ve seen and they said they would be happy to make a reduction to get our business. We accepted and thought that was it until 3 days before the move when it became clear that instead of keeping the package (silver package) that we had originally selected, they had downgraded our package to the lowest one which removed many of the TV, mattress and furniture packing that we needed. When we called to tell them this was a mistake, they told us that we were wrong and would need to upgrade to the silver package which took away any savings they had initially promised. On top of that, they refused to admit that they sent an incorrect quote and would not budge on the price. They told us we were “picking and choosing pieces of each package and melding screenshots together to prove our point” which we did not do. We had the full quote with items but they invalidated that. Obviously with 3 days left before our move, that did not leave us with much time to find another company so we proceeded. Keep in mind, I was scheduled to move in the morning, but they told be if I can move In the afternoon they would have to cancel my move, and they still left me in the street oh btw, 1850 for the move, their compensation for the inconvenience $200, stay away from this company! High way robbery!!

Look at how much space is left in this truck! It definitely should have been filled to the top. My husband (gray sweatshirt on the right) had to rearrange and repack the cargo AND WE STILL NEED TO HIRE MORE MOVERS TO FINISH THE JOB TOMORROW. At the drop off location, the third guy was screaming in Russian and left the unloading to the two young guys who were working hard to unpack quickly. He simply stormed away on a very easy job. Once again my husband had to jump in to unpack the truck with a bad back. I rarely criticize other businesses, but it is clear this company continues to SHAKE DOWN LOCALS by sending too small trucks on purpose so we have no choice but to move twice. As a Native New Yorker I urge you to read other reviews on this listing and find another mover. Incredibly disappointing.
