They had my entire apartment packed and loaded onto the truck in record time. I noticed one of the movers carefully inspecting each box before loading it, making sure it was properly sealed and labeled. They used these handy ramps to get my heavy appliances onto the truck, which was way less stressful than watching them try to lift them.

Do NOT use Menards Moving. So you're sitting there thinking "honestly, how bad can it be?" Well, as a person who was in your shoes a month ago, take my word and my lost $1,300 "deposit" as a cautionary tale: it's bad. I got a phone call from a Menard's salesperson named Phil after putting my info into a form looking for movers. I really thought I did my due diligence. I asked Phil multiple times if Menards was a broker, he said no. I asked him how they could afford to give me such a low rate ($2,700 to move my parents two bedroom house to Tucson from Reno). He said it's because they move people directly. He even gave me his number "just in case something went wrong." But I HAD to sign the contract immediately, or else he couldn't guarantee me my rate. HA! Cut to the next week, when I get a call from a different Menards employee who tells me that I have 430 cubic feet in a truck. Roughly the size of a small van. I explain to the employee that I told Phil I wanted a whole 26" moving truck, and that he told me the rate he provided was for that. The employee says for an upgrade to 1200 cubic feet I would have to pay double what Phil told me. Here's the kicker: I even got Phil on the phone with this employee and asked him, point blank, did you tell me you were not a broker? He admits he did tell me that. I say, didn't I tell you I wanted a 26' truck? He admits that I did. I ask this other guy, do you see the problem here? Your salesperson outright lied to me. I'm told it's my problem, and I need to fork over $500 that day to hold my spot. So I this point I realize I don't trust these people to move my dying father with dementia, and I walk away from the move. I dispute the charge with their accounting office due to misrepresentation of services, and they tell me to take a hike. I call their "customer service" line, and I get told "you signed the contract". Yeah bro, because your boy rushed me on the phone and assured me that what the "quote" said didn't matter, what mattered is what he was saying. I honestly don't know how these people sleep at night. So book someone else, book literally ANYONE else, hire the dude standing on the corner and his buddies and rent your own dang U-Haul because you will 1000% be better off then going with these people.
