Read More I am a recent college graduate who recently called Noble Moving and Storage for a moving estimate from Memphis to Seattle. While the initial part of the call seemed straightforward and very pleasant, the third sales representative I spoke to (Michael M.) quickly resorted to extremely high-pressure tactics. I was told I had to commit immediately to a deal, with no time (not even an hour) to consider the offer, compare it with other options, or speak with my family about it. He immediately proceeded to say it was insane to consider any other options (which, even if it is the cheapest option, it was quite unprofessional phrasing—why would I, as a recent college student, NOT take the time to slowly and methodologically consider my options and discuss with family first?) The representative claimed a special, significant discount was available only if I booked on the spot because a truck 'just happened' to be in my city on my moving date. ($4297 -> $2460), which seemed to good to be true immediately, even with the justification. When I requested time to think and mentioned seeing mixed reviews on Reddit and other platforms, the representative became audibly annoyed and spoke about 'whiny Democrats’ (verbatim) over exaggerating, which was highly unprofessional. When I decided to cut my losses and decline the immediate booking, he became passive-aggressive, ending the call with a condescending 'Well sweetheart, you won't get a better deal than this, God bless.' These unprofessional, high-pressure, and frankly disrespectful sales tactics were a major red flag. I would caution anyone seeking a moving service to be aware of this approach. I ultimately decided not to do business with Noble Moving and Storage due to this experience. Even if this was genuine and it was a limited lucky deal, the manner in which the salesperson spoke was concerning and put me off. Long distance moves are a significant life event, and people should not be demeaned for trying to weigh their options or take time.
