Bravo on climbing up to the very top of my worst customer service experiences ever. Second only to the sham company that allegedly handles their claims.

We were quoted a price. the moving company they hired were rated 1 star and demanded more money than quoted and refused to deliver some pieces of furniture. The delivery dates quoted by SSV were 5-10 days. The movers they hired stated 7-10 business days the actually delivery time was 16 business days. The boxes were not securely stored as when they were delivered some boxes were torn, massive holes where items were spilling out, a gross liquid spilled over 5. The men packing up and delivering were different. The delivery people were nice, quick and didn't try to scam more money out of us like the pick up crew did. I feel betrayed about all moving companies from this experience. Good luck to everyone who uses this company and I suggest finding out who they hire as movers before signing so you do not get a low rate mover through this broker.

Read More Despite providing an accurate listing of all our box numbers and furniture, this company tried charging us nearly double the original estimated price, even though our original and moving day inventories were almost identical. We were disappointed by their inaccurate cost estimation, which caused twice as much financial stress on moving day. Regarding their delivery process, we received inconsistent information from different representatives: 1) In the initial phone call, we were told that the average delivery time is 3-5 days after pickup. 2) On the moving day, the mover said delivery could occur in 3 days. 3) One day after pickup, another representative said delivery would occur in 1-5 business days. 4) In the last email communication, another representative informed us that delivery would take 5-15 business days. As of today, it is Day 5 after the pickup, and we still have no information regarding the delivery. If you don't want to experience difficult times in an empty apartment without your belongings, do NOT work with Swift Shift Van Lines.

Sales rep **************** hard sold me and lied through his teeth about costs, timelines and even logistics. I would never recommend this Broker to anyone looking to do a long distance move. I read the red flags about using a broker and their sales rep talked me out of listening to my gut. They will quote you low and get it all back when they show up to actually pick up your stuff. He promised to be my point of contact my whole move and refused to answer any calls or text messages. Their customer service refused to transfer me to anyone that could discuss my quote with me. Swift ************************************************* are in it to make a sale and throw customer service out the window.

Read More Swift Shift will autogenerate false reviews to falsely inflate their ratings. I rarely write reviews but felt compelled due to an extremely poor experience with this company. The 1 star reviews are also reflective of my experience. At the initial call they will promise a very low rate, and then at the time of moving, the movers will upcharge thousands of dollars. Their typical response in these comments: "The customer had more items to be moved and she was charged accordingly for that per the contract." and is not in good faith. They knowingly estimate a low space/item count to hook you into a low cost. They'll offer to call a week prior to confirm inventory and will continue to low-ball the estimate to keep you happy. Then at the time of moving, they will upcharge you - knowing that you have already placed a non-refundable deposit and that you essentially have no other choice but to continue with their services. It's an unethical and predatory practice. Stay away from these brokers.

Read More I don't throw the term "Elder Abuse" around lightly, but I firmly believe that this company took advantage of my father when he began working with them, and like many others, they absolutely bait and switched him. Their response is, "Well your dad signed the contract." But throughout this process, the man he talked to on the phone made assurances that were never fulfilled and misquoted so many things along the way. Initially they asked for $1868 as a deposit, and then a few days before the move, I heard my dad describe in more detail what all they would need moved, including hearing him describing a 10x15 storage unit full of boxes. At this point his "broker" was on speaker and said, that on top of their $1865 deposit, he would need to provide a check for an additional $5000 towards the move, and that at the time the truck arrived, based on what he described them having, it would be an additional $3500. I was even more skeptical when the company insisted on being paid by check (so he couldn't call the credit card company to cancel the payment). The day the movers came they said it would be $5800 more now, and another $5800 when they delivered the items. The price literally doubled. My dad said, "Just move what the $6865 would cover and I will figure out the rest" and the movers said, "If we don't move it all, we won't move any of it" Since then the "broker" my dad spoke with hasn't picked up and hasn't returned calls. Please avoid this company at all costs. Their website is all stock photos, the social media links go nowhere, and obviously we are not the only people experiencing a bait and switch. Now my parents lost $6800, and we are contacting BBB, and state institutions that protect against fraud against the elderly. Look at the cost of my parent's 3 bedroom house move compared to some of these cross country moves that were $4000? Insanity.
