I'm relieved for her because of the horror stories I've heard about deliveries being late, etc. The two guys who helped transport the goods to my apartment. I'm sorry I don't remember any of their names, but I really hope they're found. Of the two teams we worked with during the procedure, they were the most efficient and skilled movers.

Angry. Heartbroken. These are just a few of the words that come to mind when I think about our moving experience with Swift Shift Van Lines. Our contact person talked a great game, assuring us of their professionalism and the exceptional care that would be taken of our household goods. The first red flag took place at pick up when we removed an entire room and half worth of goods from the shipment, expecting the cost to come down, but the cost to move remained as quoted. Removing a third of the quoted cubic feet of goods should have resulted in a decrease in cost. The second and most concerning red flag occurred upon delivery. Immediately we noticed both our printer in its original box and our Christmas tree in its original box were completely missing from the shipment. It’s hard not to think that someone saw the sealed boxes and our items were stolen. Additionally, there were many pieces of collectible glass ware that arrived broken. Finally, we discovered we are missing an entire box of likely irreplaceable antique items and collectibles given by family members who are now deceased. This box wasn’t just stuff; this box was full of a lifetime of memories. In the end, I would NEVER RECOMMEND this company to facilitate your move. This was the worst moving experience of my life and, for the first time ever, if I could give negative stars I would.

Read More Terrible company, consumer beware! They are a broker not the actual movers. The rep on the phone gave false information regarding the price and how the move would take place. 2 days before the move was scheduled they doubled the price and would not refund my deposit. Representative was beyond rude and beyond aggressive! I wouldn't let them take my trash out!!! Always ask if they are a broker or the movers. Brokers sub it out and your stuff is being moved and transferred from truck to truck. This guy needed to be working for a collections company!! NASTY
