Read More I just received a call from Charter Van Lines after submitting information for a quote and the representative was forceful, became upset and hung up on me because I asked if I could compare moving prices with other companies. Before hanging up he goes, "I don't even know why you're on the phone with a moving company right now." Very unprofessional!!!

Their business model is to give you unrealistic low price, take the deposit and then watch you battle out with another company as you get treated poorly because they are upset how low they are getting paid.Here is what's going to happen if you decide to move forward:- They will be extremely nice to you as they hired good sales people (in my case Bobby - who never spoke to me ever again, they shield them once they sign)- When you sign, they will sell your move to another company (in my case to Legend Movers and then to A&L) to a first company who agrees to the lowest bid.- They will ask so-called QA to reach out to you to take accurate measurement of your inventory (do not spend time doing so as it won't be used anywhere)- Random unknown company will show up at your door step, will load everything up and then will start extorting more money for your move.- When you pushback referencing contract, they will tell you they will dump everything on the ground. You will agree because either you have no time or had too much stress.- After begging them to deliver, they will deliver all your items either damaged or lost. You are lucky if they will assemble it. Mine got tossed in front of the house and all furniture hardware were lost for half of it that made it.- When you file a claim, they will send you to shell company who "processes claims" and makes it impossible to do it with tons of made up rules.- If you are very determined and make it past, they won't respond to you for 90+ days until you give up.Good luck :)P.S they generate fake positive reviews so your negative ones get covered up. If you sort out negative ones, you will see that the business playbook they operate under is extremely accurate.Message me if you want to combine forces and go after them.

Read More My experience with this company started out pretty good. They got my reservation set up quickly with Patrick and they answered any questions that I had. However, I canceled my move on the 1st of July about 3 days after I reserved it. After about a month of waiting and not seeing a refund I called them to inquire about the status of my refund and they stated that they didn't know that I wanted a refund. So then on the 30th of August they finally emailed confirming that they would refund me. However, after a week of again waiting for a refund I still had not seen anything, so I called them back. They said that the refund had been issued and that it should show up in my account within a week. Again I wait another week and I still do not see the refund. This continues for three weeks until finally they offer to just mail me a check for the refund. I gave them my address to mail it to on September 18th and again waited until the 1st of October. When I still haven't received it I called back to check on the status and they told Mee ghat they had never mailed the check for the refund when they said that they had. When I asked how to receive my refund or when I asked to be transfered to a manager they would place me on a hold and leave meon hold until I hung up. This happened multiple times. They still have not given me any way to resolve the issue duspite me sending multiple emails and calling for several weeks. I am not very happy regarding the service that I received from this company. Deffinetly wouldnt recomend using them to anyone after having this experience.

Their lack of communication could have caused significant confusion and frustration. Charter Van Lines created two documents: one for my household items and another for my vehicle. I indicated in both that I would only be available until August 20th. Despite this, they failed to coordinate between the two services, leaving me in a ridiculous situation where they expected me to be available for my car after the 20th, which directly contradicted the information in the documents. This oversight shows a complete lack of attention to detail. Charter Van Lines contacted me at the last minute on a Sunday with minimal payment options for my household items. Thankfully, the driver accepted a Walmart money order, but this was the only smooth part. I had already paid $200 upfront but still needed to receive communication regarding my vehicle. After learning their truck had broken down, I had to scramble to book another company. Only after I secured a new service did a different driver show up unannounced, forcing me to cancel the backup plan. Despite clearly stating I would not be available after August 20th, Charter Van Lines ignored this crucial information and even accused me of lying. Because of their incompetence, I had to rely on friends to receive my car. On top of that, my household goods were delayed, and Charter Van Lines tried to justify it with their 10-day delivery window. However, the company handling the actual move, StreamLine, was professional and helpful, unlike the unprofessional behavior of Charter Van Lines. Charter Van Lines is unreliable, deceptive, and fails miserably at communication. They pass work to third-party companies without informing customers and then try to cover it up. Their reviews appear suspiciously polarized, with primarily 5-star and 1-star ratings, raising questions about their authenticity. If you're looking for a reliable moving service, avoid Charter Van Lines at all costs.

THEY WILL NOT COMMUNICATE WITH YOU OR THE BROKER UNLESS YOU CONSTANTLY CALL THEM, AND THEN THEY WILL LIE TO YOU AND TELL YOU IT HAS BEEN SHIPPED WHEN IT HAS NOT. WHEN YOU GIVE THEM A DELIVERY DATE, THEY WILL TELL YOU THEY HAVE 21 BUSINESS DAYS AFTER THAT DATE TO DELIVER IT TO YOU. THEY WILL BROKER YOUR MOVE OUT TO SEVERAL PEOPLE AND NO ONE WILL OWN UP TO ANYTHING. WHEN YOUR DELIVERY IS FINALLY MADE AND YOU ARE MISSING ITEMS AND HAVE DAMAGE, YOU WILL PUT IN A CLAIM AND THEY WILL NEVER CONTACT YOU AGAIN. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND MOVE YOURSELF!!

They had these little corner protectors for the walls, and they padded the floor to avoid scuffs. The entire move was executed with such precision that my new place looked like a showroom when they were done. Not a scratch, not a dent, not a single item misplaced.
