Read More Used this company due to its recommendation on Forbes. This was a mistake. I wish I'd never heard of them. I wish I could give them negative stars. I hope this review convinces at least one person to not go with them.After taking our deposit, they didn't communicate until less than 48 before the move only to double the price, then tell us that because it was less than 48 hours before the move we couldn't cancel without losing our deposit. Upon review (once we weren't scrambling to get things done), they had doubled or tripled the counts of several of our items, and as they said, "if we overestimate your move cost, we will not refund you." Somehow re-packing (literally putting smaller boxes into larger boxes) reduced the cost without removing anything. Magical.On the day of the move, the movers took all of the furniture we were planning to throw away at no additional cost because they recognized that we'd been overcharged so much.Our items did not begin to ship until 3 weeks after we arrived at our new home. They arrived 20 business days after our scheduled date, 1 day before IVL would have been in breach of contract. No communication, no returned calls or emails.IVL was the worst and most stressful part of our move. Do not use this company.

Read More Still no callback. Just received an email that led to MORE questions. My move was from Louisiana to FL and apparently they are going to take my stuff from LA to Pennsylvania (lol). My stuff has been picked up since 6 days ago and they have not yet moved ANYTHING from Louisiana. DONT FALL FOR THIS COMPANY. They over promise and once they have your money, they ghost you. DONT DO IT. Look up Reddit reviews, Yelp reviews, etc. I’m scared of the conditions my items will arrive in, based on the horrible reviews I’ve read. Also have read that they take waaaaaaay longer than promised to deliver. AVOID THIS COMPANY. EDIT: as expected, got the same generic reply to my review as everyone else who was dissatisfied. They couldn’t even have the decency to address me by my name. Please read their reply below (it’s hilarious), it just shows how little they care and how they have 0 attention to detail. Very dissatisfied with the lack of communication. I called one of the individuals that first worked with me last week and have not received a call back yet (it’s been 2-3 business days since the call). Not once do they pick up the phone (in my experience) and they always make you leave a voicemail. I genuinely think that they don’t pick up the phone ever, just listen to voicemails. I have called 5 times today for 3 different people and once to the actual number on Google. I left voicemails since early this morning (and yesterday) and STILL no response. Remember, I’m still waiting for the callback from last week’s employee who had been in contact with me. Only gave 2 stars because the actual movers were EXCELLENT. Customer service is a -1000/10. It is IMPOSSIBLE to reach them through phone.

Read More I had a frustrating experience with this moving company and I'm hesitant to recommend them. I would recommend to look for a moving company that keeps your belongings in one truck and avoids truck transfers. While the pickup went smoothly, the condition of our items upon delivery was disappointing. Several pieces of furniture were broken or gouged, and some work equipment was missing components, rendering it useless and requiring replacement. Additionally, an office cabinet key to our in home office setup was damaged and needed immediate replacement. The delivery process also resulted in fresh dents to our newly purchased home, which, while repairable, was an added inconvenience. To top it off, when we requested insurance / compensation for our damages, we received only around $153. My advice is to opt for more expensive coverage or avoid moving valuable items with this company altogether, or just find someone else.

Read More I’ve hired movers a few time and had some good and some bad experiences. I hired IVL based on their reputation and a reffferal I got from a friend who had used them. They did a great job throughout the process and I found them very easy to work with. We had no damage and the move went really well I would plan on using them again if needed. I would also like to thank Mike, the driver who did a great job with overseeing the process of the move.

Read More Trusted IVL to move our house hold goods from Louisiana to Georgia. This company has terrible customer service annd communication. Wasn’t informed when my shipment left the port. Had to call multiple times to find out that the shipment didn’t make its original date and had been pushed back. We were not informed of possible port fees until shipment was already underway. The fees were almost hidden in the email after the signature block. After our shipment had cleared customs the contracted company could not reach our shipment until 4 days after causing us to incur extra port charges. Will have to pay almost $1000 extra in port and extra equipment fees after paying $11,000 for the move itself. Do not use this company

Read More With less than 24 hours notice international van lines brokered may move out of state to a third-party company. The third-party company has been sketchy unfriendly unhelpful and has not treated our belongings with any amount of care or professionalism. The third-party contractor whom international Van lines hired also added a Large sum of additional fees that we had been assured were covered when we added large items that needed packing like a TV or chair to our manifest. TLDR Knowing what I know now instead of using international van lines I would have opted instead to rent a truck and drive friends and neighbors with pizza and beer. At least then I would’ve known I got what I paid for. International van lines I would LOVE to speak to someone from customer service.

Read More Don't be fooled with overly glossed over reviews. If someone takes the time to write a long review there is probably a good reason for it and not some AI generated review. I did an international move from Orlando Florida to TX. I'm a veteran and have moved back and forth overseas with the military 8 times over a 20 year career so I have experience with moving. Rarely did I have anything damaged as it was all properly wrapped and packaged. This time was completely different. I've had multiple items not just damaged but destroyed. Television looked like it was stepped on (destroyed), antique vase put in a box with no wrapping or other protection (destroyed) , fragile glassware put in boxes with stereo equipment and nothing was wrapped (destroyed), dining chair leg completely snapped off (destroyed) amongst other items damaged. Moving looks like there were rodents present as we found items with chewing marks. The company that unpacked the shipment was horrified by what they saw. I've tried contacting the company but have gotten the run around and it seems they have ghosted me.

Read More We got off to a good start with the account manager being super friendly, responsive to emails and telling me everything I wanted to hear. After money exchanged hands, the story changed completely. We paid for a full service move from NYC to Chicago. About a week before the move, I got a list of prohibited items including alcohol, liquids of any kind, computers, medicines, cleaning products among other things. We had a huge collection of very expensive alcohol that we had to leave behind. Not to mention a large amount of nice facial creams and beauty products. Something else that also wasn’t mentioned until after we paid the deposit? The fact that it could be up to 3 weeks after our requested delivery date before we got our items. We are currently in temporary housing with a baby and still have no idea when our things will be available. I’ve reached out multiple times and all I get are generic responses saying things like “we understand this can be frustrating” and “thank you for your patience during this process”. Although I think it’s ridiculous that I may have to wait an additional 3 weeks to get my stuff, I have made my peace with that. What I find unacceptable is that they can’t even give me an estimated date of arrival. We are supposed to move out of our temporary housing next week. How can we move to a new apartment with a baby if we don’t have beds, a crib or anything else? Do yourself a favor and just use PODS.
