Read More If I could give less than one star I would. Sadly using Mayzlin has been an absolutely awful experience. I had interviewed several companies for my cross country move and settled on Mayzlin because their sales rep, Nicolas was lovely and accommodating. Unfortunately everything he told me ended up being a lie. I was lucky enough to escape tragic fires in CA only to be stuck in limbo without my things and no guarantee of when or if I will even see my things again. I was told my belongings would be stored local to my delivery (within the state) but that was not true. I was told scheduling delivery would be easy and take only 7 days, also not true. When I set my delivery time frame I almost did it a week early but Nicolas assured me it was not necessary and my things would arrive within a week. As a single working mom I had family fly in to help me unpack but my things never arrived. Nicolas of course is now nowhere to be found and the customer service reps have been shockingly rude even to go so far as to mock me. The company will not give me ANY timeframe for when I can expect delivery. I somewhat jokingly asked them if it will come within the year and their reply was “the driver will call you.” I paid for premium level everything, a move costing over 12k and my things are nowhere to be found.

The price changes by thousands right before your move when you’re stressed out and are unable to find someone else. They disassemble EVERYTHING and leave you with a bag of screws not knowing what goes to what. They hire random people who answer ads to help unload, not even with the company people. These people don’t care and put stuff in random rooms and scratched out floors. They pack your stuff, unpack it at a warehouse, then repack it to bring it to you. Despite adequate packing out tv was damaged by having to much weight on the screen. Some things didn’t even get wrapped so they broke and the driver just says it’s not his fault they didn’t wrap it. My son’s desk arrive in literal pieces. I confess I did not file claims as I’ve heard you get little to no money and I was so angry I didn’t even want to deal with them anymore. It’s taken me months to get around to this review because I just didn’t want to think about them anymore. Don’t hire these people. U-Haul with the local hired people would do better and much cheaper. Or better yet spend the money on an actual moving company. Now watch. They will post their own reviews to try and get around a bad rating.

Our experience in moving from Florida to Indiana was bad and unprofessional.In the beginning, the experience was spot on. Nicholas (from North Carolina) did a great job in putting together the quote, communicating with me and the overall customer service experience was done well. The day of our move when the movers showed up to pack the truck went smooth as well. They were professional and the process went well.Once our items were loaded on the truck and left our property is when our experience went downhill.It took the company two days to get us the number of the truck to track via GPS. This is one of the selling points of Mayzlin is that you can track your truck. We had no idea where our items or our truck were until two days later.Once I received that truck number a person in their customer service department (Michelle) was extremely condescending when I asked her about the arrival date. She told me to check my contract and when I pressed her on it, she hung up on me.No one in their company called me, followed up with me, or let me know the progress of our moving truck. No one. I had to call and pursue it myself. And when I did, it seemed like a bother that I was even asking.Once we did find out where our truck was, we were even more shocked. They took out items from the west coast of Florida and drove them over to the east coast of Florida and removed all of our items from the truck to place in storage in their warehouse. We never asked for that and they never told us that would happen. Our home items then sat in a warehouse in Florida for 6 days. We were told initially that our items would arrive within 1-7 days in Indiana when actuality they sat in storage for 6 days in the same state we were moving from.I was eventually able to begin to track the movement of our items heading from Florida to Indiana. We did receive a phone call the day before they arrived and the driver was professional. Once they arrived at our home, we were told that they only had part of our items and the rest would arrive on an additional truck tomorrow. That was a surprise and no one from Mayzlin told us that in advance.We asked and even called for a number for the second truck, who was bringing the second truck, and when they would arrive. Again, nothing.The additional truck showed up the following day with no notice so I had to leave work in the morning to meet the driver at our home.To be clear, the drivers were professional.Unfortunately, on both days both men were understaffed. They said they had no help. They called and couldn't get enough help. Again, another selling point of Mayzlin is that they have a team of movers loading you up and unloading your items. They did great loading us up, but had two guys to unload the first truck and one guy to unload the second truck.Again to summarize. Our experience started very professional. In fact, I told Nicholas that I was going with Mayzlin because of his customer service and their competitive bid.After that, it was all downhill; our stuff sat in storage, it was moved on three separate trucks, it arrived on separate days and the team was understaffed. The most challenging part is that it was very, very difficult to communicate with Mayzline to locate our items or to ask about their arrivals. I had to initiate because there was zero communication with me during the move from Mayzlin unless I asked.For a long move across the country, I would not recommend Mayzlin. Moving is already stressful, and their company added so much more stress to our move.

Read More Sadly I was ghosted after they took my property. Ryan the original sales person stopped responding as well as David. I never spoke to either again. No returned text, email or phone call. They said they were to deliver my items within 5 days. They took them on 9/17/24 and I didn't see them again until 10/3/24. After multiple attempts to contact them and dealing with 24 hour anxiety, I finally went to the BBB and found multiple pages of complaints from people who had much worse experiences than me. My anxiety was slightly diminished only because people eventually did receive their items. Some more than 30 days later so I suppose I should be grateful for only having to wait two weeks. I will say they called me two days prior to them delivering my belongings. However, the boxes were smashed and some were even opened from the damage of them bouncing around in the truck. No care whatsoever in the packing or transporting. My takeaway is, if you don't care about inflated costs, timing of delivery, communication or receiving your items the way they were taken, you can use this company. But I wouldn't dare recommend them. I would strongly encourage everyone to visit the Better Business Bureau website and thoroughly review the complaints before signing any contract with Mayzlin Relocation as they are the poster child for the old Bait and Switch. Great on the front end, but horrible on the back end. Good luck!

I recently moved from Fort Mill, SC to San Antonio, TX, and had the unfortunate experience of dealing with one of their sales reps, Michael **. He’s skilled at securing the sale but disappears once the deal is done. I faced several issues with this company: They promised to pick up our belongings two days before our departure from Fort Mill but showed up two days earlier, completely disrupting our schedule. During pick-up, they confirmed a delivery date of September 3rd but ended up delivering two weeks later. When the items finally arrived, many were damaged:1) The king-size bed frame was missing legs, the headboard, and footboard.2) The shoe rack had a broken leg.3) My yoga mat was torn.4) The office chair was missing a limb, causing me to fall when I tried to sit and lean back, resulting in minor injuries.5) The bookshelf was broken.Other issues include: Once the sale is made, you're forced to deal with customer service for everything. Reaching them is nearly impossible – it took at least 10 calls just to get connected. It's by far the worst customer service I've ever encountered. The company is entirely focused on money, with zero regard for the customer. They refused to begin delivering my items until I paid the final installment. They even threatened to store my belongings and charge me storage fees if I didn’t make the payment. The delivery team was in a rush to get my signature on the delivery paperwork, even before completing the job.They outsource their claims process to a third-party company called **. Once delivery is complete, Mayzlin becomes unresponsive, and you're left to deal with this additional company, which has terrible reviews. I registered on their portal, only to find out my account won’t even be activated for 48 hours. This company shows no consideration for the customer’s needs. When they’re ready for pick-up, you must be available, but after that, you're left waiting indefinitely for them to deliver at their convenience. Overall, I would never recommend this terrible company for relocation. It's a nightmare from start to finish. Last but not the least, DO NOT believe in their positive reviews. Because, you will immediately see couple of 5 * reviews soon after I wrote this review to average it out. SO DO NOT BELIEVE IN THEIR 5 * REVIEWS AS THEY ARE EITHER PAID OR FAKE REVIEWS BY THEIR OWN PEOPLE.

I called to provide a delivery address 2 days ago and was told that my items could take 21 days to even begin to move. I was told not to call back because there would be no update to provide. The most disappointing thing about this service is I am paying 6,000 for zero customer support. I will have a house but nothing to lay my daughter in when we move.Things to take note of:- The contract you sign is several pages long with tiny font. When you are in a pinch and trying to get things moving, they use this is a way to lock you in.- The sales reps don't speak to the actual moving company who manages your items once payment is made. Once you sign the contract, that is the end of a friendly faces.- You will be treated respectfully until your items are moved into the moving truck, after this point, no one will help you.- If you sign the lengthy contract in a rush before reading the fine print, you are SOL!Be extremely careful before considering this company!

Read More I'll try to keep this as brief as possible, but the process after the sale was about as bad as one could imagine. Sales was great, explained Mayzlin's philosophy and how they are different, and the Sales guy (Mike) promised to be right there all along the way - even texted me his contact information and told me to let him know if I had any issues.Fast forward to move time... I was told that it would be between 2 and 7 business days for our belongings to go from Kentucky to Florida. Once our items were picked up, absolutely no communications or updates. Customer service number went to voicemail most of the time, and when someone did answer I was simply told they did not have an update. After a while they would scold me for calling, telling me that I had called two days earlier and told I would receive a call when an update was available (note: NO ONE EVER CALLED - not even to tell me when items would be delivered). I was even told that they legally had 30 days, so basically quit bugging them. If I thought Mayzlin was like every other moving company and would revert to legalities, I would not have picked them - they were supposed to be better.Mike (Sales), who claimed he would be there for any issues throughout the entire process, was nowhere to be found. Texted, called, left messages, called customer service and asked to have him call me, eventually asked for his supervisor - NOTHING. Never head from him again. Items were finally delivered on the 28th day, and the only time Mayzlin was responsive was when it came to collect payment, making it very clear they would not unload one item until payment was made in full. Keep in mind they never called to tell me when things were being delivered - I found out the truck was on its way during one of my inquiries. Driver called less than 24 hours before he was coming and told me to make full payment by 9:00 am the next morning or he would be unable to unload, and I would be charged a hold fee.Now for unload day! At 9:00 am random people started showing up at my door saying "I'm here!" They had no idea what was going on, and neither did I. After a few minutes of trying to figure out what was going on, we figured out that Mayzlin had placed a Craig's List advertisement for people to unload the truck. I hired experienced movers for a reason, and Mayzlin went and hired random local people, who had no moving experience, to unload all of our belongings! If I had wanted strangers with no experience to unload the truck, I could have handled this entire process on my own and saved a lot of money! I expected a professional moving company to hire professionals.When the truck was unloaded, the hired help (with no connection to Maylin) starting letting me know that the truck was loaded pretty bad - fragile items on the bottom, heavy items on top of light or fragile items, and seemed to be several things damaged. A dining room chair was crushed to the point that the two front legs were completely snapped off, a dresser top was completely cracked in half, and many boxes were completely smashed. The boxes were packed correctly - full, items bubble wrapped, etc. - but the items were handled incorrectly. Again, they hide behind the law on this one, stating their legal, limited liability, telling me to file a claim.Mayzlin will tell you that the late delivery (from 2-7 days to 4 weeks) was perfectly legal, broken items happen and their liability is limited, etc. They will tell you that my delivery window was actually 6-11 days because of my first available date (which is true). However, ZERO communication or updates, no returned calls, rude customer service, hiring people from Craig's list, etc., etc., etc. was unacceptable. I hired professional movers that claim to be different for a reason, and Mayzlin failed at every step of the way (except they did a good sales job).If you are going to claim to do moving different, have better customer service, own all your own trucks (both trucks used to load our belongings were rented), employee your own drivers and movers, and promise a delivery window during the sales cycle, then stand by those claims and BE DIFFERENT. Promises are easy to make, but evidently much harder to delivery on. One last comment - one employee actually had the nerve to tell me, "I know this is bad, but it could have been much worse."
