Read More Worst moving experience I’ve ever had. Do not hire Safe Ship. I spent two hours on the phone with them detailing everything I owned. Based on that, they estimated I needed 500 cubic feet of space. Then three days before my move they told me I actually needed more space and it would cost an additional $2,000. I was told I had to decide that day or risk my move being delayed. The first moving company they assigned had a 1-star Google rating and then no-showed. I had already taken time off work for the move and ended up spending hours on the phone trying to get another carrier arranged. I also paid $1,500 for guaranteed delivery, and my belongings did not arrive on the guaranteed day. On top of that, I paid extra for unpacking and reassembly. None of that was done. When I explained that I had recently had surgery and specifically paid for the help because I physically needed it, I was told I must have misunderstood. Several of my belongings were also missing or broken when everything arrived. I contacted customer service to try to resolve this. I was told the carrier would call me back. That never happened. It’s now been over a week, and I still haven’t been able to get anyone on the phone. This was an extremely stressful and expensive experience from start to finish. I would not recommend using Safe Ship.
