We worked together on the moving details, and they brokered this job to Plymouth Van Lines, one of the many companies in their broad range of quality carriers. I could not have had a better experience! Both ends (pick up in California by Oscar and crew and delivery in New Mexico by Colby and crew) the entire experience was handled well (thanks Sandy and Kevin.) No surprises and amazing support all along the way.

Read More What they quote you won't be what you pay! No matter how careful you are in measuring and counting and packing, your estimate of your house isn't going to be theirs but you won't know what it is until it's too late to change carriers. I was quoted around $9500 based on my (detailed) estimate and that they "had an empty truck going back" to my move state; and it was only going to take 3-4 days for my stuff. Four days before the pickup date the price changed. I ended up paying over $18,000 and it showed up three weeks later - after repeated calls (admittedly, that first weekend was a major weather event at my new home, but there was always a reason to postpone). These guys are JUST BROKERS! I was advised by the movers (first and last) to call direct next time, the price will be better and the customer service more direct. I advise the same. Oh - and nobody takes credit cards, debit cards, or personal checks. So if you Zelle/Venmo, make sure your limit is up since you pay 1/2 at pickup and 1/2 on delivery and they will block your transaction if it's more than $2K! The dropoff dude wouldn't even open the truck until I paid him, LOL! I don't know the last time I used a postal money order - thank god for the USPS though! BUT - the crews were AWESOME! Really helpful, communicated when they were running late, packed us up in a day, and the drop-off crew had the truck empty and everything where we wanted before dinnertime! And everyone was polite and hard working, so at least they work with some really great shipping companies. JUST BUYER BEWARE!

The crew was efficient, friendly, and took extra care with fragile items. We were especially impressed with how well they coordinated the logistics of a cross-country move. Read More Mr. William Jarosz of Safe Ship Moving Services plays the old bait-and-switch routine. He gave me a quote, and I paid a deposit. I found out later that the deposit I paid was actually a " broker fee". However, Mr. Jarosz isn't even a licensed broker in the state of Florida. I was provided with a signed broker payment authorization form that I did not even sign.....I am a special education teacher who is extremely upset with the treatment I received from this company. DO NOT USE THEM TO MOVE.
