Read More Our family had a seamless move into our condo in AZ. The movers were on time and worked nonstop which was great since we were already time-bound. Thankfully, everything happened according to schedule and we received our belongings intact. Many thanks!

June 10th is when this nightmare began. I inquired about a quote to move from Florida to Tennessee. I spoke with "Eric". He said everything I wanted to hear. Competit ... Read More June 10th is when this nightmare began. I inquired about a quote to move from Florida to Tennessee. I spoke with "Eric". He said everything I wanted to hear. Competitive pricing, pickup date would be on the weekend that I wanted (8/24 or 8/25) and delivery date would be immediate with first option for 8/27. So, I signed up. And I really wish that I hadn't!! Communication was horrible. Maria was my "Moving Coordinator" and was not alot of help. There was no good notice before pickup or delivery. When they did finally (last minute) reach out to me to notify me of pickup date, they said 8/26. I told them that this was never an option! I had been told the weekend, NOT Monday! I had utilities being cut off etc. They were not empathetic. The movers arrive on Monday and the driver couldn't speak English. it took 5 hours for them to load up my 50ish boxes, two mattresses and a bed. My stuff is taken away and we head out to Tennessee. On the way up, I call Safeway to check on my delivery date. Just an fyi... they have phone numbers saved and will ignore you when you call. I was left on hold for over 20 minutes multiple times. When they do finally talk to you....you are given NO answers and always a promise to call back which NEVER happens. Finally, I was told that 8/27 was not possible for delivery date and that it would be 3-10 days. After calling repeatedly to get a delivery date, they tell me it will be Friday or Saturday. I tell them that I need it to be Saturday. I never received a confirmation. Friday came and went, no movers. Saturday came and went, no movers. I called twice from my number and no one answered. I finally called from my daughter's phone and they answered. I was told that they couldn't tell me when the movers would arrive. Later that day (Saturday) the driver texts me and tells me that he will be delivering on Sunday. SUNDAY???? Again... this was never supposed to be an option. The movers show up and it ends up being ONE guy (the driver). He unloaded all of our stuff alone. I felt sorry for him. He was actually a delight. Broken English again but at least we could communicate and he was friendly, unlike the pickup driver. Some of our boxes were wet. A picture was warped, and some of our items smelled bad. Long story short.... 13 days after pickup (well beyond the 3-10 days), I received my belongings. So.... If you are moving and want to have zero communication with the people that have your belongings in their possession, if you want to wait two weeks to finally get it, if you want it to smelly, wet and damaged, and if you want a stressful long distance move to be even more stressful.... this is the company for you. I relayed to this company that they made this experience HELL for me and that I will NEVER refer anyone to them. If you are wondering if they cared.... they did not. Honestly, I believe this company should be reported to the BBB. They overcharge, lie to and ignore you. If there is ever a next time, I will rent a U-Haul and ensure that my belongings arrive safely WITH me! This company is by far the worst experience that I have had with ANY service. I am sick to my stomach when I think about the money I spent just to be mistreated by them.

Read More Our family recently moved from TX to NY with Safeway Moving Inc movers and they did an incredible job. It was a 3-day move and they made sure to be punctual every day. They were diligent and managed packing really well. Every item was double packed and labelled. The delivery was also on time. We wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again!

I’ve moved interstate and intrastate many times and Safeway Moving definitively takes the cake as the most incompetent moving company I’ve ever worked with. Not only ... Read More I’ve moved interstate and intrastate many times and Safeway Moving definitively takes the cake as the most incompetent moving company I’ve ever worked with. Not only did they irreparably damage my expensive dining room table, they completely lost my patio table, 1 night stand (out of a set of 2), and half a trundle bed (inexplicably delivered literally half the bed frame). They also lost several boxes of odds & ends. When these issues were addressed with the delivery team they just shrugged in apathy. When addressed with corporate, it was more apathy and I was directed to file a claim through a third party service provider that will take at least 120 days to address any issues, at which time Safeway will assuredly try to lowball me on a settlement and kick the can down the road as long as they’re legally able. This organization represents everything wrong with the moving industry. Save yourself a big headache and a lot of money and literally book with any other moving company. It can’t possibly be worse than these inept troglodytes.

When my sofas wouldn’t move through my narrow doorway, they acted quickly and wrapped them up in another layer of thick cloth. They hoisted them up and got them out my apartment’s balcony without harming them in the process! I’m stunned and I definitely recommend them!

Despite the challenges (short timeframe), the movers remained calm and ensured everything arrived safely to my 3-bedroom flat in TX. Absolutely recommend them!
