The amazing experience has inspired my buddies to use it in all their future pursuits.

Read More The bottom line is I would never use this company again nor would I recommend them to anyone ever! If you don’t have time to read the whole review, please take my first sentence to heart and look elsewhere for assistance with your move.Unfortunately, I did not do my due diligence, so I booked Safeway for a move from Upstate New York to the San Antonio Texas area. I was quoted $12,673.00 to basically move one bedroom, dining room, two living rooms, large desk, two 3D printers and a garage full of tools, lawncare equipment and a motorcycle. That quote turned into a cost of $17,202.62 not including the additional cost due to my house having stairs. As the movers were finishing loading the truck one came to me and asked about their “Tip”! Yes, they asked for a trip, I was dumbfounded. I ended up giving each of the six people involved in the move $50 by check. After the truck departed, I noticed items that should have been packed on the truck in a basement closet and other items in the garage under a work bench.I was told my items would be transported to Texas as I was waiting for the date I could move into the new house in Texas. A couple of weeks later I called to make arrangements for delivery and provided my availability dates for delivery. I was still living in New York and planned to drive to Texas for the delivery then return to New York for a few weeks. When I arrived in Texas, I called to reconfirm my delivery dates. The dates were confirmed, and I was told I would receive a phone call one day prior to delivery by the driver. When I did not receive a phone call, I called again and was told my shipment in was New Jersey. I was informed my balance would have to be paid in cash, money order or Zelle or my furniture would not be delivered. I paid the balance by wire transfer and still had to extend my stay at a hotel in Texas because my shipment arrived four days after my delivery window with two people to unload the truck and reassemble items. The truck was unloaded however many items that Safeway packed were not unpacked. Items that were unpacked and assembled were placed where I wanted them however all the packing materials, cardboard, tape, and plastic was not discarded by Safeway, it was all left for me to discard. Prior to leaving the driver asked about their “Tip”. I was told 20% of the cost was customary. I looked at him and stated, “That was not happening!”. I gave them $100.00 each.I worked for the Government for more than 30 years and have moved from state to state and to Europe and I can honestly say this was the worst moving experience I have had.

Read More I moved into my new apartment right across my old one with Smith moving crew. They packed all my items with foam padding, bubble wrap and soft blankets. They paid special attention while wrapping my LEDs and I was relieved when they arrived unscathed. The rest of my things were delivered in great shape too. Absolutely recommend them!

Read More I will never ever in my lifetime recommended this company to anyone. I would like to give 0 stars if possible. We chose this company based on reviews and our moving experience was completely awful. It began with the moving coordinator telling me that they had another family moving from the Houston area to the same area in Virginia. That didn’t turn out to be true and a call with a later representative told me no one should’ve even told me that. The price changed about 3 times. The movers refused to list our instruments properly saying they’re “all the same.” But yet my $1500 lute is nowhere to be found. I was told not to pay by check- but the first movers took one because the price changed. We had no furniture for almost 2 weeks. And when the movers came, the price changed again because they “couldn’t get the moving truck into our parking lot” yet I’ve seen so many in the time I’ve lived here now. Also another price increase. That mover told me he was “laying his own money out” to rent a truck. How is that my problem? He also told me I could leave the money orders blank. What!? I have never heard of any such thing. It was beyond sketchy. Our kitchen table was scratched, a chair was broken, our bikes were also broken, coffee table dinged and like I said, a $1500 instrument never to be found. I have filled out and filed a report to no avail. I keep getting told there is no report on file. I guess they just wait for people to give up. I’m sure they will leave a rebuttal to this saying I signed everything. Yes, of course I signed everything. I’m moving cross country and am I going to just stop movers with the truck all full after all this money isn’t refundable? At that point you can’t really not sign. They know they have you because people are super stressed and like deer in the headlights. I just had to trust that they would do a good job, that nothing would be damaged or lost and sign my life away. None of that happened. What a scam. I will be reporting this company to the Better Business Bureau. I was so shocked at how horrific this experience has been. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY regardless of what they might respond with.
