Absolutely the worst moving experience of my life. I hired Swift Shift Van Lines for an interstate move from Utah to Florida. What started as a $2,890 quote turned into ... Read More Absolutely the worst moving experience of my life. I hired Swift Shift Van Lines for an interstate move from Utah to Florida. What started as a $2,890 quote turned into over $4,700 with no valid explanation. On moving day, they arrived 2.5 hours late and demanded an extra $1,600 on the spot. They claimed I had double the volume but refused to provide any measurements or proof. When I asked questions, I was threatened with cancellation unless I signed a new contract immediately. I signed under pressure, terrified of being left without movers. Despite promises, my belongings were delivered nearly two weeks late. I slept on the floor of my empty apartment for 13 days. When my items finally arrived, they were in a different truck. I had to rent a U-Haul and move everything myself. Several items arrived damaged. Worst of all, they falsely marked brand-new furniture as “scratched” to avoid responsibility for damage. Customer service ignored my calls and passed me off to a third-party company that never answered. Do not trust Alex Miller. They are a scam artist who made false assurances, disappeared when things went wrong, and took no accountability for the chaos that followed. This company operates through deception and intimidation, and they have no integrity. I have photos, documentation, and proof of overcharges. If you value your money, your belongings, and your peace of mind, stay far away from Swift Shift Van Lines.

They carefully wrapped all our furniture, also disassembling some larger pieces for easier transport. The entire move took exactly 2 days, which was impressive considering the distance.
