Read More As Jesus Christ as my witness, this is the most evil group of movers on planet Earth. I am 70 and live off of social security. Upon pickup, they doubled the invoice cost. I was screwed. They had a gun to my head as travel arrangements and plans were already fixed. TWO movers took TWELVE hours to pack a 296 square foot one bedroom apartment at an assisted living facility. The movers actually asked for money from a 67 year old wheelchair bound woman and put her into emotional distress. I have filed complaints with the attorney generals office of Wisconsin, Ohio, and South Carolina. This company NEEDS to go bankrupt. When a company stoops to the level of exploiting senior citizens for financial gain, you know you are at the very gates of hell. Pray about it, but in my humble opinion, you will regret it.......

Read More I used United Regions Van Lines for a cross country move. The price was the main reason I went with them, and in hindsight it was a bad decision. I can't imagine the experience being much worse. They really didn't get anything right other than the price. We had a full truck load of stuff, moving a 6 bedroom house. The moving day experience was bad, they were supposed to show up on a specific day, and they technically did.... at 9:00 PM. They started packing and moving our house at 9:00 PM. It was a terrible nuisance to my neighbors as they were making lots of noise and worked till about 2:00 AM before I finally told them they had to stop. They had every intent to just keep going all night long and sleep the next day, but that didn't work for me. Then they gave me a move in date of 1 week later, I thought that was great. So, we travelled cross country to our new home and our delivery date ended up being 30 days later. This was after multiple calls to them. I was calling them daily asking them for an update on where our stuff was. It sat in their warehouse for at least 2 weeks before it even got loaded onto a truck to come here. Then, when they finally brought all the stuff out, they just unloaded it as fast as they possibly could. I thought that was fine, but then when I find out that in order to make insurance claims I would have had to make note of it on the final delivery documentation. This means you have to check every single numbered piece as they are unloading it, so you have to force them to slow down (lesson learned) and you have to check every item for damage and make note of it on the delivery documentation. They also did not leave us a copy of the delivery documentation, I believe intentionally, to avoid any insurance claims. They simply say "provide a copy of the delivery documentation" to make a claim, but they didn't provide a copy, so therefore I cannot make a claim. Lastly, the claims process. We had DOZENS of our boxes just disappear. Picked up, a number attached to them, but never delivered. According to the insurance documentation, they would have had to reimburse us $0.60 per pound for missing items, but since there was no delivery documentation with notes written about missing items, they refused to accept that the items were not delivered. Then for damaged items, for example, they moved a piano for us, charged us an extra $200 for special handling, and the piano was damaged in multiple places. 2 large dents in the wood, scratches, a broken wheel, and they won't even refund the price of special handling even though they handled it poorly. All the items we had lost and damaged, their reimbursement was $97.00 with no justification as to why, no explanation as to why they won't pay $0.60 per pound, and no way for you to actually speak with someone about the claim. They only accept email and they just ignore your emails. I looked into a lawsuit and small claims court, but even at $0.60 per pound, my best guess was I should have been reimbursed around $1200 and legal fees alone made pursuing legal action not worth it. Avoid this company like the plague. They have high pressure sales people who promise you all sorts of stuff, but you will never talk to your sales person after signing the quote and making your down payment. They will ignore your calls and emails as their promises go broken.

We warned them that we had a lot of stuff, but they said they were the professionals. They arrived a day late to pack up with too small a truck. They had to come back the next day with a truck that was also too small. Now we were two days behind our schedule for cleaning up and getting out. Then the delivery to our new house took weeks longer than expected.United Regions arrived at our new house understaffed for unloading. Due to inclement weather they just threw stuff in our garage. We had multiple pieces of broken furniture including heirlooms and electronics. Moreover, several boxes did not arrive. We have lots of kitchen things, several pieces of art, and tools that are all missing. Their insurance is by the pound so a destroyed $1000 TV value is based on how much it weighs, which is not much.I’ve moved a moderate amount. Lived in multiple states and several countries and this was BY FAR THE WORST moving experience I’ve had.

Beware Unprofessional Company

Read More The pick up and delivery were great. However, the price increased substantially and the communication about the delivery was poor. I contacted them 12 days before requested delivery date. I contacted them on the morning date to check the status and it confirmed by the that afternoon for the following morning. I was instructed to pay by cash or a Walmart money order. I checked with the company and they said that since I had just requested it that day I had to comply. I told them the date, time, and person that I spoke with 12 days earlier. They then let me wire the money. It was then, that I was told that the packing materials would be left at my house for me to dispose of.On the plus side delivery was great. Isaac and Igor were efficient and pleasant. And everything arrived in perfect condition. This is my 2nd review. My first was 5 stars for the delivery.

This company is terrible! An absolute scam! They quoted us $21,000 to move us across the country from PA to FL. Sounds great right? Yah, it was the best estimate. But the ... Read More This company is terrible! An absolute scam! They quoted us $21,000 to move us across the country from PA to FL. Sounds great right? Yah, it was the best estimate. But then they proceeded to change the price after they had taken our stuff. They wanted something like $54,000. So when we got to FL we paid to get the first truck entirely delivered, so we have paid about $31,500. The day we paid for the first truck they told us our total was now $64,000. They said if we couldn't pay that then they would store our stuff and start charging us storage fees. Well that was a month plus ago. No one has 3 times the initial estimate available when they have just bought a house! In addition, of the boxes we did get many things have been broken especially in the kitchen boxes! A great deal of dishes were broken beyond saving! Some things (like a container of coffee grounds) were in boxes upside down so that they spilled through the entire boxes contents! The movers scuffed up the walls of our new house too! Many furniture items were broken and a great deal of stuff was actually left behind and I ended up shipping 4 medium sized uhaul boxes through the postal service! All the companies phone lines dump into Phyllis's voicemail and all she does is argue and tell you what you owe! Upper level people in the company seemingly don't exist and definitely don't get or return phone calls! This operation is a massive scam! They're gonna want $100,000 by the time we finally are done with them! Please see my review and choose a different company! This is a scam! Be aware!

Huge price increase on the day of the move

Read More United Regions Van Lines has a problem with their estimates. My original estimate, done with a walk-through video was for approximately $10K. I paid the deposit, signed and agreed. A few weeks later I got a call wanting to review my inventory. No video this time, just going through the list verbally. When I asked why they didn't just look at the video, they said they did not have access to it - apparently this was another office. Apparently, the original estimate missed some items, so it was increased to approx. $12K. I paid an additional deposit. Today the movers arrived, looked around and decided that my estimate was way too low. I now have more than one truck full of items. New estimate $18K, maybe more if they need a second truck. I was told I could agree to the new figure or decide which of my things I wanted to leave behind. I cancelled my move and forfeited the deposit. I will also lose my pet moving fee, and air fare. The amount of money is not the issue - the unprofessional handling of the whole estimate process just left me feeling like I was being taken advantage of. I don't know who all the players were, but apparently there is zero communication between the estimator, the re-estimator, and the movers. I can understand that it is an "estimate," and that the price may be higher - thus my agreeing to the second estimate. But the final offer was almost twice the original estimate, despite doing a walk through, a video, and a verification of the inventory, AND they said it would likely be higher still as the new estimate was based on only using one truck, which they did not think would be enough space. I suspect they would have gotten it all into one truck and then I was supposed to be relieved that they did so well and saved me some money for the second truck! For reference, my home is 1200 sq. ft., 3BR but only one bed as the other two bedrooms are used as offices (desks) - rather small, and I have about 200 cu. ft. of garage stuff. I am not a novice at moving as I was in the military and moved, many, many times long distance. I read some other reviews that were not so good, but it seemed the good reviews outweighed the bad so I felt comfortable. What a mistake! Needless to say, I do not recommend this company.

Poor estimate and poor communication

Read More The absolute worst. I didn't even hire them and still had an awful experience. The person I purchased a house from hired them. I won't speak for her but I know she paid a huge amount of money and was promised "white glove" service. I'm not sure anyone on the crew had ever moved a box before. That wouldn't be my problem, except they were 2 days late, meaning the previous owner wasn't out when I was supposed to move in, and, more importantly, the cleaners the previous owner hired weren't able to do their job so I was given a very dirty house! Oh, and then there's the part where they damaged the floors and walls, and spilled liquid on my carpet, which created a stain that was impossible to remove. And left a bunch of trash on my property.... Of course there was no attempt made to make things right.... It takes next-level incompetence to do that much damage to someone who isn't even a customer!! STAY AWAY
